A dream realized

Arken's Jewelry Box was a dream I had for nearly 15 years before it was actualized. This was something I talked about for years and I think my friends and family were tired of hearing about it. It wasn't until spring of 2012 that I suffered a personal loss that I decided that I wanted to live my life differently and finally pursue my personal interest instead of working for someone else's interest. I wanted a slower paced work life than my accounting job which required never ending hours and was very unsatisfying. So now I work for myself and the hours are even longer at times but I LOVE IT!! :D

Everything that is displayed in my store is made by me from beginning to end and is made using ethically sourced metals. I really do strive to offer beautiful jewelry at an affordable price that is both fair to the customer and myself. The work is never rushed and is done with the utmost care and time necessary to produce a quality product. This is a one person production from photography to packaging and customer service.

I really want to thank my customers and the Etsy community who have all been so wonderful because without you I couldn't have my dream. I am truly grateful every day that I get to create and send my creations all over the globe and look forward to the continuation of this venture for years to come.

Hello Etsyans!! My Name is Karen and I've been in customer service for years and my own personal slogan has always been "treat people the way that I would want to be treated". I dont think any of us would want to be treated poorly, right? I absolutely love the way Etsy has that Main Street feel and how Mom and Pop shops have made it to e-commerce bringing back old customer service with personal attention. My goal is to create jewelry that you will love wearing and offer great customer service. Tips and suggestions are always welcomed so feel free to shoot me a convo. :)

Payment
I accept Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Etsy giftcards. If you would like to cancel an order that has already been shipped, the refund will be credited to your account once the item(s) have been returned to Arken's Jewelry Box.

If you pay with Paypal please make sure your Paypal address matches your Etsy account profile. I ALWAYS create my shipping labels through Etsy so when your label is created it will match what is on your Etsy profile not Paypal.
Shipping
DOMESTIC SHIPPING:

All items will be shipped within 3-5 business days of paid order placement via USPS first class shipping which includes a tracking number. If you would like upgraded shipping services (i.e. priority shipping, signature confirmation,insurance) please contact me with your preferences before placing your order and I will set up a custom order.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:

All items will be shipped within 3-5 business days of paid order placement via USPS first class international shipping which incudes a receipt number which works like a tracking number. These numbers are sometimes used for tracking but it depends on the practices in your area. International shipments can take appoximately 1-4 weeks to arrive due to distance, postal policies and customs. Any customs/duty and tax fees are your responsibility to pay and vary from country to country. This can delay your package and will sometimes require you to pay a fee to claim your package at your local post office or require a payment via C.O.D at your door. Your package will not be released without these fees paid. If your package is returned to me due to unclaimed packages I will honor a refund less the shipping fees. Shipping fees are paid to the USPS not Arken's Jewelry Box.

Upgrades for international are available upon request, please contact me before placing your order so that we can discuss cost and what type of upgrade you would like to add.

Once your package has left my possession and into the hands of the post office, I cannot control the delivery timeframe at which it arrives to your address. Also, I'm not responsible for lost or damaged packages during postal transit.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Packages do get lost or are sometimes mishandle by postal carriers due to human error (delivery to wrong address). This is pretty rare but is does happen. If this is a concern for you then please ask about adding signature confirmation and/or insureance to you order
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns and refunds will be granted on READY TO SHIP items only. If you would like to return an item please do so within 14 days of receipt of your item(s) and you will be refunded once the item has been returned to Arken's Jewelry Box in it's original condition less the shipping charges.

"MADE TO ORDER" items are non refundable because they were MADE for you after you placed your order. If you need a different size on a made to order ring, there will be a fee for materials and work time. This is a small one person business and resizing takes time and resources. Not all rings can be resized.

If I have made a mistake with your order (i.e. size, metal type, stone type) all fees will be taken care of by me upon return receipt of your item(s) and a replacement will be made and shipped at my expense. In order for me to assess a mistake I MUST receive the item back. I will not just send a new item to compensate for a mistake which has not been confirmed.
Additional policies and FAQs
WRONG SIZE:

If you have ordered the wrong size ring and need to have it resized, a fee will be charged for sizing down because the ring will have to be re-cut, filed, soldered and polished. This process not only takes time but resources. The fee will vary depending on the type of ring and quantity. Sizing up is complimentary.

Also, you will have to cover the cost of shipping both ways. You will be contacted once the ring is completed to purchase a new shipping label from the shop.

I don't have inventory for exchanges on wrong sizes. Again "MADE TO ORDER" translates as made especially for you. Most items in my shop are made as the orders come in.
