From mother to daughter to friend - a tale of a travelling Chainmaille technique

Armatura came to life in 2008 when Rina Shechter, an artist and fashion designer, started experimenting with jump rings, using the antique "Chainmaille" technique, which was used in the middle ages to create nights' armours.

The good news about Rina's jewelry traveled fast, and it wasn't long before a concept store was up and running, dedicated to jump ring jewelry and accessories.

Rina later decided to pass on her secret technique to her daughter Noa, who had studied Metalsmithing and was eager to become a jewelry designer herself.
Noa then partnered with her childhood friend Yael, and together they created Armatura Design, which they now run together, hoping to make it into a successful jewelry and accessories brand worldwide.

Though we primarily work with jump rings, we are always experimenting with other materials and are trying to combine such materials as leather, gemstones and fabrics into our designs. We are also constantly working on new items and collections and are hoping to keep making cool and unique items that our customers will love.

We are always glad to offer refunds if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

If you decide to return your purchase, we ask that you mail it back to us within 7 days of receiving.
Shipping is at your expense and we highly recommend that you purchase delivery confirmation with your returned package to ensure its arrival.

We will issue a refund to your PayPal account for the purchase price of the item (shipping costs will not be reimbursed) as soon as we receive it.
We accept payments through PayPal, Direct Checkout and Etsy Gift Cards.

California residents are required to pay an additional 8.75% sales tax. This is automatically calculated while your order.
We ship all items USPS First Class Mail. All domestic orders will receive tracking numbers, which can be tracked at
If your order is shipped from San Francisco, it should arrive within 3-5 days. On some occasions, depending on item availability, your items will be shipped from Israel, and will take up to 2 weeks to arrive (usually less). We will notify you where your item was shipped from and when it is expected to arrive. Items shipped from Israel to the U.S. will also have a tracking number.

International orders will vary, depending on shipping destination, and will not always include a tracking number. International shipping usually takes around 1-3 weeks to arrive but may sometimes take a little longer, so please be patient.

You will receive your item in a little Organza Jewelry bag, inside a padded envelope. We package each item carefully to ensure it will arrive safely to its destination.

Your purchase will be shipped to the address you listed on Etsy.
Please double check and make sure your listed shipping address is correct.

Items will be shipped within 3-7 business days of their purchase and payment. If an item is in stock and ready to ship, it will ship faster. We will contact you if any unexpected delays occur. We will not ship an item before the payment is cleared.

International parcels may attract customs fees.
Please keep in mind that all international taxes and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
