For bridesmaids dress orders, upon final approval of the photos of your dresses, we ask that final payments be made within 2 weeks unless other arrangements have been made with us.
We ship all orders 3-4 business days after purchase. We do so in order to ensure that our trips to the Post Office are fuel efficient as Armour sans Anguish strives for an eco-friendly production process on very step of the way! If you need your item shipped sooner, please convo us for arrangements as we are happy to accommodate your request.
We ship all domestic and international orders via USPS Priority Mail. International customers, please note that customs fees and taxes may be applicable to your shipments and they are the responsibility of the buyer.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please note that Armour sans Anguish garments are made from salvaged and recycled fabrics and we try to embrace tiny imperfections as elements which make garments more charming and full of character. To love an Armour sans Anguish garment is to love frayed edges, tattered bits, and deconstructed style. We've had hundreds of lovely, thrilled customers and hope that you are nothing but smitten with your garment. We do not issue refunds pertaining to unfinished edges. Our garments are highly unique and are not conventional at all, so please be sure you understand our aesthetic prior to placing an order with us.
A custom made item cannot be returned as we create each custom garment according to your measurements, based on the palette you've requested. We do, however, believe in the spirit of resolution and fairness and ask that any unhappiness be expressed to us prior to leaving feedback so that we can work toward a happy ending for all involved.
If a ready-to-wear, non-custom-made garment must be returned or exchanged, buyer pays for return shipping.
If buyer would like to request a refund or exchange, we ask that they contact us within 2 days of receiving the item. If both parities agree to a refund or exchange, the garment must be received within 2 weeks for the agreed-upon arrangement to be honored. A refund or exchange will be decided upon between the buyer and seller.
If your wedding is canceled or you decide to elope (go you!), the deposits for bridesmaids dresses are not fully refundable due to the incredibly time-consuming process of correspondence regarding the details of an order before its been placed. Your deposit is 50% refundable up to 2 months prior to your projected completion date and completely non-refundable 2 months or closer to your projected completion date.
Additional Policies and FAQs
We receive a high volume of convos and I employ a very small staff. We will certainly get back to you, but please do not place orders with us if you are not prepared to wait a few days for responses to emails. We are friendly, responsive, and happy to help, but we also keep standard business hours and are on Pacific Standard Time. We understand that the internet creates an "instant gratification" culture regarding communication, but we are real people (yay!) and we will respond to you as soon as we possibly can while also getting some sleep and seeing our families now and then. ; )

While we usually have excellent luck with fit, please be prepared and allow time for alterations after you've received your dresses. Alterations are a normal, expected component of bridal attire, so please plan accordingly. If you do not feel prepared for the possibility of alterations, please do not place an order with us.
Making something from scratch is always time-consuming, but the results are abundant and rewarding. My process not only requires construction time, but hunting time as well. If you have a highly specific color or texture request, chances are your garment might take a bit longer to produce. If special requests are made close to the item's projected finished date, please be prepared to wait longer for your item. We are salvaging, dying, and reusing fabrics, so we plan ahead carefully with materials chosen just for you. If your vision changes, we naturally need more time to make adjustments.
Many times customers ask me if I can "recreate" something I've made in the past. The answer is usually a heavily qualified "yes." Please keep in mind that I can only use what I can salvage. If I have run out of the original fabrics used to create a garment, your finished product will NOT be the same as the original you fell in love with. 99% of the time this is not an issue at all as my customers tend to enjoy a bit of surprise and they know that I always take pride in what I produce, making sure that each garment is special and unique in its own right. If you have highly specific ideas about what you do/do not want you need to communicate them to me prior to the garments' construction. If you like what you're consistently seeing coming from AsA's studio, you'll like your dress(es).
Armour sans Anguish garments are made with deliciously tattered materials. I love raw edges, asymmetry, deconstructed bits, and the feel of something that has lived a whole other life before winding up on my dresses. I understand that this is simply not everyone’s style, so please do take note prior to placing a special order. If you’re after “something simple” I feel you, I’m just not your gal.
Armour sans Anguish garments are constructed entirely from recycled and reclaimed materials. We embrace the tattered and disheveled quality of vintage materials and try to imbue each garment with the spirit of using what is already out in the world, creating a sustainable, Eco-conscious approach to wearable couture. If you're cool with unfinished, raw edges, asymmetry, and wearing fabrics that possess a unique history, then we're cool with you! If not, we're still cool with you! But, AsA may not be right for you. We fit best with Shabby-Chic, Undone Romantic, Outdoor, Whimsical, Country, Avant Garde wedding and everyday aesthetics. We don't expect this to be everyone's cup of tea, so please, please, please message us ahead of time with any questions! : )
++Please Note++ An order is not on our production calendar until all measurements and the deposit (in its entirety) has been payed. No materials will be sourced and no work will be started until all deposits have been sent and cleared. Be aware that the timeframe agreed upon begins at the time of both the paid deposit and measurements having been sent in. This is especially important if your bridesmaids are paying their deposits individually. We have a very firm production schedule and your order's projected completion date *will be* pushed back if your bridesmaids do not pay on time and send in their measurements on time.
