About

Aromatherapy as a way of life

I have been interested in holistic health for more than twenty years. In my past life, I was in Corporate America and I knew that was not the way for me to live my life as it was not serving my community, my family, or myself.

Even though I am a life-long learner, I did not see myself going back to school at my age. I already earned two Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education. I have always been active in the community. I was a long-time member and board member of Kiwanis. I am now a Missouri Master Gardener as well as a Missouri Master Naturalist. As I became more in tune with my own health and listening to more and more friends' dissatisfaction with Western medicine, I decided to become a part of the change I wish to see in the world. I did my research. I have studied with Shanti Dechen, Robert Tisserand, Cindy Black, and Andrea Butje. I am a Certified Aromatherapy Practitioner with over 300 hours to date. I have studied and continue to study chemistry, anatomy, essential oils, phychoneuroimmunology, Aromadermatology, essential oil energetics, botany, stress management, and more. I read in excess of three research studies daily and plan to continue my certification studies as well.

You may be asking, "I have gone this long without aromatherapy. Why me? Why now?"
An aromatherapist is an important part of your wellness team. She is as important as your massage therapist or your dentist. Your aromatherapist works with you to reduce stress. Physical stress as well as emotional stress. She looks at everything in your life and helps you to adjust simple things and guides you through more complex challenges. Often times, people seek out an aromatherapist for long term challenges that they have not been able to solve or control otherwise; such as anxiety, allergies, headaches, sleeplessness, arthritis, COPD, fibromyalgia.... Your aromatherapist does not take the place of your doctor, rather she compliments western medical practice as a practitioner who is able to spend time working with you to find the root causes. She even writes reports for your benefit that you may share with your doctor. Once your relationship is established with your aromatherapist, when sudden concerns arise, like a virus, you may call or send a message to your aromatherapist and she may have a custom essential oil blend to support your body's healing ready for you within a couple of hours (locally). All without artificial chemicals or pharmaceuticals. All of the ingredients used are organic, natural, or wild-crafted and have been studied worldwide for generations.

The preparations offered in my Etsy shop are tried and true remedies used by my clients, friends, family, and myself. Please read the descriptions carefully. Most are appropriate for any adult, but there are a few exceptions. If you have concerns, please convo me. I will do my best to answer your questions. If your question is complicated or something that would take significant time, research, follow up questions, etc. like if you are dealing with fibromyalgia and seeking relief, I will suggest you book a private consultation. This is not to put you off, but rather to dedicate the time and talents you need for your situation.

Using my knowledge of aromatherapy and skin care, I also present to you small batch, hand crafted, naturally derived soaps using only simple, sustainable ingredients many include organic clays and pure essential oils. Every bar is created with therapeutic intention....and love.

Being an aromatherapist is my full time career. I am here to be of service.
