I live in beautiful Idaho with my amazing husband and adorable young son. “Danica the Artist” is a labor of love, a canvas where emotions turn into healing expressions of many forms.

I experienced a string of devastating losses as a young teen. As a timid girl with a storm of feelings inside, I found solace in the silent language of art. My brushes danced to the rhythm of my emotions, and colors became my voice. Art was my escape, my therapy, and eventually, my calling.

It was through my own experiences with loss and the search for comfort that I realized art could be more than just expression—it could be a bridge to others’ hearts. I realized that if art could be my sanctuary, perhaps it could be that for someone else too.

It was in these prayerful conversations with my canvas that “Danica the Artist” was born. Now, nestled between the duties of motherhood and the joys of family life, I work to carve out a space to share my unique perspective with the world.

I create my own artwork using acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, Procreate for iPad, colored pencils – just about anything that fits my mood or inspiration. Every image I make is full of rich symbolism, color, and meaning.

Running “Danica the Artist” is a dance of passion and dedication. Juggling nap times and weeknights, I work as a professional artist, art ministry director, and therapeutic art life coach.
