Thank you Julie, I love my new dog. She is adorable and even looks better in person. She looks just like my Basset Hound, Babe.

We Were Green Before Green Was Cool!

I was always creative. Painting, drawing and decorating our home with bold colors. I was happiest when I had a paintbrush in hand. After spending hours at art shows, I decided I should try making my art more functional, so I began painting my art on furniture and other up-cycled, re-purposed items.

Dave was always a collector of scraps of metal and parts of leftover wood projects. He also had the habit of not buying tools. If he didn't have the right tool for the job/ task at hand, out of necessity, he would make it. This turned into a love of metal working. He spent hours tinkering and creating yard art sculptures which he sold to friends. With the talents we inherited from our parents and grandparents, we joined forces to become Art By Burton.
We work both separately and as a team to create whimsical yard art critters as well as wine bottle trees and hand forged bottle chandeliers, whimsical painted furniture, found object sculptures, painted canvas and recycled wood.
Darin joined in the madness a few years ago with his clocks made from old records and cds and he's created some awesome robots from found objects.

We work out of a tiny garage shop where most of the metal sculptures are created and built. David is also a blacksmith. I create my paintings and found object sculptures in a tiny room studio in our home.

Dave and I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren who are also very artistic.
Our hobbies are hiking, spending time with grand-kids, attending car shows, art shows and of course, picking!
