I am a San Franciscan living in Munich, and I often get homesick for California and for my city by the bay. Having ordered a Chilean flag for my (Chilean) partner last year and seeing his emotional response to it, I thought I would order a California flag to remind me of home. It worked!! I am so proud of this painting - so proud and so thankful. Irena is obviously incredibly talented, but also her communication with me was outstanding - she really wanted to explain her inspiration and evolution to me, and understand my hopes for the painting. It has been a true gift finding her on Etsy, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Irena, it is a privilege to have your art in my home. I'm desperately thinking of what to commission from you next :)
