Cutting our vinyl mats by hand.
Some of our earlier designs, not all of them are with us today. We still have most of the tiles patterns.

In our small studio, we design and print linoleum rugs, with a twist.

Art Mat is a small labor of love. I, and my team, here at Studio Fisher, constantly try to improve and develop.
It all started with my first flat-bed printer, a massive piece of technology that takes up a lot of floor space in my once airy studio, but what it took up in space it gave back in possibilities.
We started printing on linoleum (or vinyl, or PVC, which are all descriptives for the same family of materials) for exhibitions. It gave us great options to brand and decorate booths in a unique way and in affordable prices. We realized there's a home decor niche for carpets and rugs, when interior designers started to inquire about such possibilities.
We tested out the first vinyl mats in our own homes, as well as in the homes of family members and close friends, and the reactions were pretty amazing.
We love the retro, old world feel of the linoleum mat, and we love combining it with modern technology and design aesthetic.
We are constantly designing new patterns and thinking up new ideas.
We all love custom orders, and made some cool projects with customers who had unique views and ideas.
