Just received this beautiful piece!!! I am just in love with it!!! And I also love the info sheet with history about it. Just wonderful!! Thank you for painting beautiful scenery that I can enjoy in my new home for (prayerfully) years to come. God bless you and your talent!

Absolutely love my painting! It was just what I was looking for. Beautiful and serene. I feel like I'm in the mountains when I look at it. Thank you!

The world is my studio

I love to paint outdoors and work quickly to catch the fleeting mood and light. This gives my paintings an impressionistic fun filled look. I have painted in all kinds of weather and particularly love the light just before or after a storm and a mild day in mid winter when the snow is still deep.

All my paintings are originals - I never make copies or prints. Even when I return to the same scene, the light and my mood have changed.

My blog, The Artful Codger, shows paintings step by step. Follow the link below.

I especially love painting outdoors - even the noises and smells sometimes make their way into the painting

Frequently asked questions

How accurate are the colors shown in photos?

I try to take photos that will show colors accurately but computer monitors sometimes vary and some colors are almost impossible to catch perfectly. If you are not pleased I will refund your purchase price

How should I frame my painting?

Acrylics and oils are usually standard sizes on canvas or Masonite panels and most will fit a standard frame. Acrylics and oils do not need glass or mats. Small paintings can be displayed on an easel or attached to a wall with Velcro. Watercolors should be framed under glass and look best with a mat. Again, I try to use standard sizes so you easily find a frame.
