Art by the Glass Studio is an Austin-based mobile paint and sip studio. We love sharing our art with others and making hand crafted items. The owner of the studio creates each product with help from her assistant. We are a small business that strives for great customer service and prides ourselves on our craftsmanship. We want our customers to feel like they can come to us if there are any problems or concerns.

Returns and exchange details
We want you to be happy with your product but because these are made to order and many hours of labor and time goes into each piece, we do not accept returns or exchanges in most cases.

We do require pictures of the piece to issue a replacement, whether it is from being received broken or if the product is warping. We only provide replacements on pieces that were not modified. Any modifications made by the customer will void any kind of guarantee that we offer and a replacement will not be issued.

All of our wood cut outs are guaranteed by us for the season they were purchased in against any kind of defect such as warping. We do not guarantee our products against breakage from high winds, or bending from improper storage.

If your product was received damaged: Please contact us with pictures of the broken product, the internal packaging, and most importantly the external packaging (especially to illustrate any damage the package may have incurred). We get insurance on all of our pieces and we will file a claim with the carrier and send out a replacement as soon as possible.

If your wood cut out appears to be warping in the rain: Please contact us as soon as this occurs. We do take every precaution and seal our wood cut outs with outdoor polyurethane, but sometimes we get a bad batch of wood that can have moisture in it which will cause it to warp when it rains. Let us know if this happens and we will get a replacement out to you as soon as possible. As a temporary solution, if your product warps, place it flat on the ground with the concave side facing up, pour a hot cup of water on top of it and let it stay that way for a few hours in the sun. You can place something heavy on it to speed up the process. This will temporarily straighten out your existing piece while you wait for a replacement to come.

Delays in transit: Delays in transit are out of our control once the product is in the hands of the shipping carrier. We are more than happy to look into your tracking if there appears to be a delay (especially during the holidays), but we are not able to speed the process up. If you suspect a package is lost then let us know and we can start an investigation with the carrier. If a package is determined lost then we will send out a replacement as soon as we are able to.

Wood Cutouts:
Our wood cutouts are hand crafted, painted, and are made with care. We strive to maintain a quality product each time. Because these are made from plywood, there can be some variations and imperfections in the wood. We are always careful that these imperfections do not ruin the overall aesthetic of your piece. This means that divots and knots may appear on the back of the piece. These in no way affect the structural integrity of the piece, and are not considered damaged. Because these are not considered damages, we do not offer refunds on cutouts based on these "imperfections."
Payment
We accept most forms of payments. If you have any variations that you would like to add to your item(s), please let us know ahead of time so we can make those changes. If the order has already been cut or started on, we do not accept cancellations as we've already begun on your order.
Shipping
We do try and ship out each order as swiftly as possible while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. During holiday seasons it can get a little crazy, but we try to get all our shipments out on time. Every item is packed carefully to prevent breaking. Depending on the size of the orders, we may ask for more time to fulfill your order. We will always maintain contact with you to keep you apprised of any updates on your order or if there are any delays. Some things like weather are unavoidable and can cause delays to the shipment. We cannot create any of our cut outs if the weather is rainy, foggy, or misting as this can cause warping in the future. We will keep you updated if this does prevent us from getting your order out on time.

If your product is received damaged or broken, we do get insurance on our pieces to cover this so we can get a replacement made for you. We do not do returns/ refunds on these pieces but can get you one made and sent out shortly. We will need pictures of the broken product, internal packaging, and the external packaging (to show any damage the box may have incurred). Receiving a broken item is uncommon but it can happen.
Additional policies and FAQs
Free Shipping: We offer free shipping on most of our products. We do not offer free shipping to anything going to Hawaii or Alaska. If you are purchasing one of our items, please make sure to reach out to us about shipping costs so we can let you know how much it will be and provide a separate listing for it.


We do not provide refunds as each individual piece takes many hours to create. Depending on the problem and situation, we may have to replace your item. Please contact us ahead of time before leaving a negative review and give us a chance to solve the problem. Negative reviews can really hurt small businesses and we do everything we can to fix any problems that are brought to our attention. We want you to be happy with your pieces and have something that you are proud to use.

If something happened during transit, we do get insurance on all our pieces that have been shipped. Please understand that we are not the Post Office or FedEx. We take every precaution we can to get your order to you, but things that occur during transit are not our fault and all we can do is find a solution.

We do not provide replacements or refunds on pieces that were modified by anyone but us. We do not encourage you to modify our product. If you do, we cannot provide any kind of replacement because we don't know if the modifications caused a problem or not. This includes applying your own weatherproofing polyurethane on top of ours, or just adding your own mounting hardware.

Please make sure to take down your yard art temporarily if there are strong winds coming in or severe weather. While the wood does have some bend to prevent the wood from snapping, strong winds can manage to snap the wood if it gets caught or comes in suddenly. We do not replace products that were not taken care of properly during severe weather as these are only weather resistant, not weather proof, and may not be able to stand up to severe weather such as strong gusts of wind, blizzards, or extreme thunder storms.
We have recently (as of 6/20) started to use MDO wood for our larger cut outs. This is to prevent bending or warping during harsher weather.

Each wood cut out will have mounting equipment installed and will come with a piece of rebar to stake in the ground first, however, we do not provide any extra equipment past this as these things are not included in the listing you purchased from.

We recommend you store your wood cut outs somewhere safe where they can lay flat and do not have anything stacked on top of them as the wood can curve if a weight is on it for an extended period of time. We do not guarantee our products past the season they were purchased in as we don't know how the piece was stored for the year.

Our wine glasses are safe to drink from and are also top dishwasher safe, though we still recommend hand washing to increase longevity.
