A Thread Of Passion

Article knitwear began with the idea that design which combines beauty and utility is what our lives should be filled with. This philosophy is what inspires everything that the founder of Article, Lilli Rose Wicks, creates. Lilli designs homewares, clothing and accessories that are sublime to touch, beautiful to look at, work well and will last.

Lilli’s design journey began at a young age, as she was brought up by creative parents who ran a soft furnishings business. Lilli would spend weekends making all kinds of creations with the scraps of material garnered from the vast stockpile of remnants her Mother kept in their shop. This sparked a passion for designing and making that still continues today.

Lilli studied Art at college, and then Fashion and Textiles at degree level, specialising in knitwear in her last year. A love for knitwear was ignited the first time she used a knitting machine, she found the design possibilities that knitted textiles opened up to her were enticing; being able to take a single strand of yarn and create a multitude of shapes and textures was an exciting revelation. This began a creative journey that led to an award winning collection of knitted womenswear, landing her the ’Visionary Knitwear’ Award at Graduate Fashion Week in 2007. A few years living in the French alps and honing her knitting skills has ultimately led to the brand ‘Article’, and the vision of a design philosophy made a reality that others can share in.

Article is knitwear and textiles designed to fit beautifully in your life. Featuring unique textures, luxury fibres and inspiring pops of colour.

Refunds and Exchanges
I ask that you check the measurements of the garment you wish to purchase before you buy very carefully to make sure the fit will be correct because I cannot offer a refund if the garment doesn't fit you properly.
I strive to give as accurate as possible a description of the fit and sizing of a garment to avoid these problems. In the unlikely event that a garment or other product is faulty I will be happy to refund the item (if this is not detailed in the description of the item).
If a garment or other product becomes faulty within one month of purchase (i.e a seam starts to come undone or the garment unravels) I will refund the buyer after conversation with the buyer confirming that it is through my fault that the garment or other product is not up to scratch. This does not include normal wear of the garment or damage caused by the wearer.
Items sent by recorded delivery will be refunded if lost or stolen.
Well done if you got to the end of this essay!
