I do a lot of hammering in my work because I love the textures the metal can imitate.
I mimic organic forms, here I had just finished soldering the petal of a water lily.
After some time, determination, and playing with colored inks, pieces like this lily pad sculpture finally come together

A little piece of nature...

Growing up, I've always liked to make beaded jewelry. My mom gave me my first little bead set, I couldn't have been more than eight years old, going on a plane trip. Since then it seems making jewelry was my favorite past time.
After I got out of high school, my family and I had to move for my dads job. I didn't know what to do. My parents, being the supportive parents they were, pressured me to get out of the house and do something, anything. So, I got a little job, and started taking some basic college classes.
Well, this little job was at an Arts and Crafts store. Suddenly I was surrounded by art, and things used to make art. It didn't take long till I realized my past time could grow. I could learn how to cast silver, polish bronze, or shape copper. I could combine the elements of nature to create something beautiful.
The time following that has been me, learning and growing as an artist. And finally its time to share my art with the world!
