About

Making art is my passion

About me: Born in Carmel NY, I moved around the northern and southern parts of the east coast as my mother was promoted from Secretary to VP of Marketing at a large fortune 500 company. Always an artist like my dad, I was raised to believe I could do anything and honesty and integrity are most important. I have been training as an artist winning awards and scholarships since a young teen. Then I worked in corporate America for 20 years. Now I am a stay at home mom for an adorable toddler; the best job yet. I love my art and wish to continue to grow my identity and style, do shows and finally become a GA listed artist one day.

About the vintage: My dad is an antique dealer, we have a lot of fun going out "junkin". I've learned so much from him over the years and the most fun we have is the research when we get home, we are constantly learning about interesting finds.

About the pottery; plainly, I fell in love with it, am self taught, nothing formal; it's my folk art.

About the textiles: I love to sew, it's also family thing for me, Mom and I get together often to sew as she did with her mother and I'm always learning new tricks. Hoping to have have some quilting projects to list soon.

About my Degree: Drawing and painting is what I'm formerly trained in, it's what I have my degree in and is mainly used to support working in clay and textile art. I've also been dreaming up some ideas for paintings recently, we'll see how that boils up to the surface.

I'm very fortunate to be able to work on the things i love and enjoy.
