Working on the "Gold Fish" painting here. I Laid down a color pattern for the background.
Just beginning a painting in this photo. It is a bit of a long process.
These are the sponges I use to smear the pastels around and get the effect I am looking for.
Here are my oil pastels. If you are unfamiliar with them, they are basicly crayons made of oil that never dry.

I've been creating art for about as long as I can remember. My dream job in high school would have been to become a comic book artist with Marvel. So I went to art school, learned a great deal and developed a portfolio that represented my education. Not long after graduating, my portfolio was lost in a house fire, along with nearly every piece of art I had ever created. It took several years to get the itch for art back, and when I did, I used it as an opportunity to find my own style.
