But long before I fell in love with theatre, film, and acting - I fell in love with rocks and stones. I was about five years old. While other children were collecting Barbie dolls and stamps, I chose a box of rocks. I was fascinated by their textures and colors and knowing that I was holding a piece of my planet in the palm of my hand. I started making beaded jewelry in 1994 and traveled around with arts festivals in Georgia for a few years. I recently returned to the craft, and I hope you enjoy my wares. I'm now experimenting with metalsmithing, fiber work and other techniques and will soon be adding new types of jewelry to my collection. Life is a journey. Joy is a choice. I believe that every moment of our lives, we make choices of whether we are happy or sad or miserable or joyous. We all have trials and horrible things we must deal with. Everyone. I have a painful and disfiguring condition called Lipoedema, and for decades, I did not follow my passion for acting because I judged myself to be unworthy because of my appearance. I wasn't diagnosed until 2010 - but when I discovered that this was a genetic condition and I was not to blame and that I was born to look like this - I made the choice to accept it. To own it. To love myself unconditionally and without judgment and decided just to do the best I could do with the hand I was dealt. And that has made all the difference. A few months after my diagnosis, I got an agent and began auditioning and booking film and television work Nearly 40 projects already in just a dozen years. I was the only one standing in my way of having what I wanted all of my life.
