Announcement    Aspen Hot Glass is a husband and wife collaborative business who specialize in blown glass hummingbird feeders, pixie orbs, collector Marbles, shot glasses, Cabinet Knobs, Steampunk and dragon eye designs, handcrafted journals and wire woven art pieces.

About some of our products:

Hummingbird Feeders:

They did a lot of research before designing their hummingbird feeders. One of the goals was to create a feeder that does not drip. They found the Hummingbirds tongue is 2 to 3” long, this allowed us to make a feeder the bird drinks from the top, preventing dripping. These are blown using Borosilicate glass and hung on a hand crafted wire worked chain.

Vortex Marbles:

Bill and Rae make their marbles mostly using Borosilicate glass. Bill specializes in various fuming techniques and Rae loves working with murinies
.
Pixie Orbs:

Pixie Orbs attract Pixies Fairies that bring good luck. The orbs remind Pixies of flowers and beautiful gardens. When they come to inspect the orbs the Pixie’s find them to be a fun and magnificent treat and reward the orbs owner by bestowing them with good luck. These fun glass orbs are hand blown by Bill Grout using Borosilicate glass with webs inside to catch light and make it sparkle in the sun. Rae creates the wire work chain enhancing the orbs with Crystals and Bills ribbon cane bead worked into the chain.

Hand blown Glass Drawer Pull / Cabinet Knobs:

These stunning glass knobs would dress up any kitchen, bathroom, entire houses or just a dresser or as a French door enhancement. Bill makes these to order and he has about a 1 week lead time for orders up to 25. He is happy to make more than 25 but may need more than 1 week to create them. These finely crafted cabinet drawer pulls are designed for universal use and replacement of standard modern cabinet knobs. They are made of borosilicate glass by Bill Grout. Included are standard 1” 8/32 machine screws, which will work for most all applications. After the flam work process they are annealed in a kiln run by a digital ramping controller.

Bill and Rae’s Story:

Bill has been blowing glass since 1993. In 2002 Rae left the corporate world to be with Bill and pursue her artistic adventure blowing glass and so much more. Since 2016 Rae has been incorporating metal working, steampunk, dragons and other fantasy themes into the glass art. Together they live on a small farm that includes orchards, an extensive garden with a green house, Steampunk shop, Torch shop for torch work glass blowing, Bills Man Cave equipped with an electronics wing and the Brew house, along with the Sage Cottage Observatory for astrophotography and the vacation getaway Sage Cottage 406 itself where guests can join the journey in comfort and quiet. The location has wide open views overlooking the Bitterroot Valley of Montana, where together they spread love and harmony, sharing this fantastic journey called life.
