Frequently asked questions
CORJL AND ADOBE READER
Most templates are editable in Corjl, and some of the PDF files only in Adobe Reader.
Corjl and Adobe Reader are both free for you to use.
CORJL - After your purchase, you will get access to Corjl. There are many editing options and your item can be downloaded as PDF or JPG files (or PNG).
ADOBE ACROBAT READER is free to download, and it's a trusted PDF reader.
HOW DO I PRINT?
AT HOME
After editing, choose 'Download'. You will have options for printing multiple per page, trim marks and bleed.
You can also print on pre-cut cards. If the design goes all the way to the edge, most printers will leave a small, blank border along the edges on the pre-cut cards.
Select High Quality in the printer settings. Paper type can affect the printing quality.
ONLINE
Prints of Love is one of the online printers who knows Corjl templates well.

PRINT SHOPS / PHOTO SHOPS
Check with your print shop what they prefer regarding file type, trim marks and bleed area.
Items edited in Corjl can be downloaded as JPG or PDF files.
DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANY SOFTWARE?
Corjl is an online tool, so there is no need to download any software.
Google Chrome is the the best browser for designing with Corjl (Microsoft Edge is also compatible with Corjl for desiging).
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is most likely already on your computer. If not, a free copy is available from Adobe: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD FONTS?
No.
Fonts are included in your purchase in both Corjl and Adobe Reader.
In Corjl items I have carefully selected 10 - 15 fonts that pair well together and match the design. Send me a message if you need another font, or more options and I will try my best to help.
In Adobe Reader, the fonts are also included, but the editing options are limited, so it may be best to keep the font already in the design.
If you do choose to change font style, you should also change font size to fit your text.
HOW DO I OPEN AND EDIT IN CORJL?
After purchasing an item, Corjl will immediately send out an email to you. The email will contain a link, which you can use to log in and access your item.
Or go directly to Corjl.com and enter your order info to access your item.
Instructions are included in your purchase. Corjl also offers video tutorials online.

THE COLORS IN MY PRINT LOOK DIFFERENT THAN ON SCREEN
Colors can appear different on screen vs. print:
- Mobile phones and tablets show colors more brightly, computers are more accurate.
- Type of paper and printer quality may affect the printing result.
My shop has partnered with Prints of Love. They offer fast, high quality yet affordable printing.
Plus free 2-3 day U.S. shipping and free envelopes!
Simply follow this link: https://printsoflove.com/aspenprint/ to select your print options. They handle the rest!
Oh, and they are eco-friendly too!
CORJL BASIC START GUIDE
1. Open 'Layers' on the bottom right
2. Click the layer you want to edit. Replace text in the textbox above
3. To add textboxes, select text in the design and click 'Duplicate'
4. Frequently used: the tracking key ('LS') and the leading (right next to 'LS')
If you change font - you should also adjust these two, to fit your chosen font
5. To change color click on the colored box and drag the circle around
6. Move text by drag and place.
When you drag on the corner gray circle font size changes. The mid gray circles adjust the textbox size. The white circle is for rotation.
7. To get multiple designs with different text, select 'Duplicate Page' in download options
HOW DO I PLACE A PHOTO?
If your image needs to be cropped, please do so before uploading.
If the card already has an image, click the image and then 'Replace Image' in the tools panel on the right side. Your photo will then have the same styling as the sample photo (e.g. shadow)
Or you can select 'Add New Image' to upload images.
Upload your image and click 'Save'.
PRINTING JPG/PHOTO CARD
When printing at a print store, there should not at all be any issues printing on the backside.
If you print at home, and you have a photo on the front and text on the back:
the photo paper you use should have a paper backside, for best printing result.
All invitations in my shop without photos, works very well for printing as PDF files at home.
JPG/photo cards printed on photo paper will also print well, but you may consider having them printed professionally when they are two-sided.
