We are primarily a vintage shop, but we also feature some unique new Sterling silver jewelry, handmade in-house. For our vintage collection, we are always on the look-out for unusual, interesting, artistic, exotic, puzzling, curious, visually appealing, or just plain cool things to bring into the shop. Vintage jewelry is a shop specialty. Many of our listings contain historical background information to let you know what we found out while researching the items.

About customer service: we are very concerned with providing the best buying experience that we can for our customers. We start with the listings, where clear, detailed descriptions and photos, along with honest and thorough information on item conditions, are paramount. If you are interested in purchasing one of our items and have any questions not covered by the listing “Overview” and “Item Details,” please contact us and we will be glad to help you make up your mind. If you do make a purchase, we make an effort to contact you to verify the shipping address on record with your billing info: it does not happen often, but occasionally a customer may not realize that an old or incorrect shipping address is attached to an account. We will, however, ship your item within 3 business days even if we don’t hear back from you. Our policy for packaging your item for safe shipment is “overkill:” we try to pack things so that they will be sure to arrive without any shipping damage regardless of any incidental “mishaps” between us and you. Finally, we do not solicit any reviews from buyers. All reviews (linked to our Etsy shop home page) have been voluntarily supplied by customers.

Please note that on all shipments to locations outside of the United States, the buyer will be responsible for any customs fees, local taxes, or other duties and charges. Customs forms required by the U.S. Post Office will state the actual price, minus shipping costs, of the purchased item.
Shipping is via USPS First Class Mail, Standard Post, Priority Mail, or Media Mail, as soon as possible after payment has been received and shipping address has been confirmed personally by the buyer. All items with values of $20.00 and more will be insured while being shipped. If requested, your shipment can be shipped by Express Mail or FedEx shipping, at additional cost. Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with the item, but it is exactly as described and photographed in the listing, the item will have to be shipped back to me, in unchanged condition, within seven days at your expense. The refund of the listed item price (excluding shipping) will be issued after I have received the item in satisfactory condition.
Regarding lost or damaged in the mail items, please contact Astra’s Shadow immediately to discuss correct procedures to follow in order to file a claim and get reimbursement from the USPS or other insurance issuer. Please keep all packaging with the damaged item and take photos of the item and packaging. This is absolutely necessary in order to get reimbursement from the insurance issuer.
