What a gorgeous solution to a practical problem: how to keep your hands safe from hot pans while still being able to grip them. This oven mitt is lovely, comfy, well-insulating and, unlike so many other mitts, lets your thumb move in the ways that allow you to actually hold onto things. Kudos on all fronts!

At The Door's oven mitts are jumping around in the drawer, awaiting cooking adventures in our new kitchen. The mitts are the perfect length and thickness for protection, but what really sets them apart is Linda's creativity. I wanted a dark yarn, something not too uniform looking, that somehow referenced farm produce. With a handspun charcoal yarn on hand, Linda devised the radishes, turnips and carrots which enliven the charcoal and make everyone in the kitchen smile. She communicated regularly during the few days of knitting and felting, reminded me when they were finished, and again when I forgot over the holidays, sent them promptly and well-packaged. The mitts are delightful to look at and super functional - couldn't have been a better experience, and I'll happily return to At the Door for gifts.
