Announcement    Hello there and welcome to Atelier Avera =)
The name Avera finds it's roots in 'mata cerah' which means 'sparkling eyes' in Indonesian. Because that is what I love most about making jewelry: to see how someone's eyes begin to sparkle when they see their new piece for the very first time.

I believe that the magic of jewelry is how it can become a part of your life. As you create new beautiful memories, your own unique piece of jewelry can help you cherish these moments and keeping them close to you.

Take your time to look around. Perhaps you will find that piece that will make your eyes sparkle. If you have any questions or requests, please let me know. I am happy to see what I can do for you, so you can find a piece of jewelry that will become a part of the memories of your beautiful life =)

Handmade with love to contain your memories

My love for jewelry started at a young age. I could spend hours going trough my mothers jewelrybox, as she told me all the stories and memories connected to them. Since then, it has always enchanted me how people could truly cherish their jewelry because of the memories that were intertwined with it.

It wasn't long until I started to make my own jewelry. First in polymer clay but eventually I started working with precious metals and beautiful one of a kind gemstones, the treasures of Mother Earth. There is no way to describe the feeling of taking those treasures and to see them change shape in my hands, until they reflect the design in my mind.

It became a true passion for me to create pieces of jewelry, knowing that someday that very piece will become a part of someones life as they go out and live life, creating beautiful memories with loved ones that are going to last a lifetime.

Frequently asked questions
How do I take care of my new piece of jewellery?

It's important to take good care of your new piece of jewellery. Of course, it's made to last decades but by taking good care of it, you extend its lifespan.

Don't wear your jewellery when doing rough work like gardening or cleaning with harsh chemicals. Also, don't wear it when swimming in pools or in the sea.

To remove dirt, clean your jewellery with an old toothbrush and some hand soap or mild detergent.

Silver is a natural material and one of its properties is that it will slowly turn black over time, especially when not being word. To make it shine again, gently rub it with a jewellery polishing cloth. Don't have one of these cloths? Request for one during check out and I'll send a piece of cloth along for free :-)
