What is 925 Sterling silver?
Sterling silver is the most common silver alloy, used for almost all silver jewelry. It consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Pure silver is too soft for most jewelry so it is mixed with other metals to make it more durable. When not worn it will tarnish but this is quickly solved by buffing it with the small buffing cloth provided for free with your order. This polishing cloth can also be used for gold filled materials.
Care instructions
I use only high-end durable natural materials that can last many years and be worn daily. Some gemstones can be delicate. They are natural after all. Be careful with perfume and other personal care products. Do not wear your jewelry in the shower, while swimming or in bed. When not worn, store in a dark place. Be especially careful with opal.
Every once in a while wash your jewelry in some lukewarm water and some gentle soap. Dry carefully and buff with a flannel cloth.
Silver tarnishes by the influence of UV light and oxygen. To make it shine again, use a polishing cloth or silver bath. If you wear your silver jewelry often, it will start to shine by itself.
Wrapping and custom note
Every piece of jewelry comes wrapped in a sturdy and beautiful branded Atelier Nymphea box to keep it safe during transit.
If you select 'gift' on check out, I will wrap your order with a stylish paper ribbon.
Additionally, I have gift wrapping available for a small fee. Your branded sturdy jewelry box will be wrapped in colorful handmade marbled paper and sealed with a silk ribbon and a wax seal.

- All shipping is TRACKED and INSURED. Additional items are shipped for free in the same shipment.
- FEDEX is available on check out, takes 4/5 business days and is insured (until 75 Euro). Additional items are free in the same shipment. Please note that shipping time is without processing time of 1 or 2 days.
- For FEDEX insurance for amounts over 75 Euro can be purchased for 1% of the value of the purchase. Please contact me if you would like this option.
- If you provide an address that is incorrect and the shipment is sent back, I will require you to pay for additional shipping to resend it to you.

. Shipping times are always an estimation, therefore exact arrival dates cannot be given, especially during peak times. Custom fees and charges are not included in your purchase. Please contact your local authorities if in doubt about possible fees.

FedEx: between 4 and 5 business days.
Returns & exchanges
Our transaction is only complete when you are happy! I will accept returns and exchanges. You can contact me within 14 days to receive return instructions. Please send it to me within 5 working days. Once I have received the item back I will refund within three days. Return shipping costs and original shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will not be compensated. I can also not refund the costs of wrapping paper.
Quality and durability
- I source my gemstones from the best suppliers for excellent quality. They are natural, untreated and genuine. The metals that I use are only high end (only sterling silver and 14K gold filled) and are made to last a lifetime or more. All of my gold filled materials are purchased in the US.
What is 14K gold filled?
- I exclusively use gold filled products in my shop and purchase them only from renowned US suppliers.
- Gold filled products are made by pressure bonding a thick layer of pure 14 carat gold onto a brass core.
- A product is gold filled as long as 5% of the weight is 14 Carat gold. This is a 10 to 25 times thicker layer than on gold plated jewelry, that has only 0.05% pure gold.
- Gold plated, ‘dipped’ gold and even heavy gold electroplated (HGE) all only have a mcroscopic film of gold and should be much cheaper than gold filled jewelry.
- The durability of gold filled products is very high and will last from 10 to 30 years, depending on the acidity of the skin. It is also ideally suited for most people with a sensitive skin.
Is your jewelry hypo-allergenic?
Most people with sensitive skin can wear my jewelry because I only use high-quality materials like 14K gold-filled metals (heave and durable gold plating that does not wear off) and pure 925 standard sterling silver. However, I can never determine from my side whether you will be able to wear my jewelry or not. Some people that are highly sensitive cannot even wear pure silver or gold. So, if in doubt better not to take the risk.
There are other options. I can make earrings from niobium, a hypoallergenic metal that even the most sensitive skin can wear. I can make you a pendant without a chain. I can make your item in pure 14-carat gold or rose gold (for a different price). Please contact me for details.
