Engaging emotion + enhancing connection

I will admit that I'm a little bit obsessed with capturing life's beautiful and meaningful moments. Surrounding ourselves with the memories of the people and places that uplift and sustain us, bringing joy and comfort to our days. And now that I have my own little family, I also think about passing down our personal stories - the ones that you can't find in family trees or on public record. If we don't do it, who will?

Simply: I want to help you build meaning, beauty and history into the objects that are part of your life.

Even a minimalist must have blankets to keep warm, pictures or art on their walls, and objects that serve the function of day-to-day living. Why not embed our belongings with personal meaning and beauty?

Heirlooms aren't only the antiques from your grandmother. They can be moments captured in day-to-day objects. And transformed into something useful...something beautiful and embedded with meaning - for you.

MODERN HEIRLOOMS - Quilts made with your child's baby clothes, your husband's cotton shirts, your mother's dresses. Tell the story you want to tell. For you, and for future generations.

Atelier Six is located in Montreal, Quebec. Designer | maker & creative director, Suzanne Paquette, has over 20 years experience working in product design, development and production for international markets.

All quilts are original designs unless otherwise stated. They are machine pieced by me - as much of the design process takes place during the piecing stage as it does in the pre-planning/designing. The quilts are assembled and machine or hand quilted by myself or other individual quilting experts.

We will provide a PDF proof of the overall colour blocking of your quilt before we cut. If you are not happy with the original submission, one round of modifications to colour blocking are included in the cost of your quilt.

One last note about custom design: Please feel free to tell me if you would prefer to let me handle all of the design decisions for your quilt, once you provide the initial information. It can be hard to visualize the final result, and I can help keep the process simple.
