About

College Art Grad Seeks Fun, Creative Hobby/Occupation

I love cute cuddly things, which goes to say that I love the items I make. My needle felted sculptures started as part of my senior thesis project. I received a lot of positive feedback from friends, but I really knew I had something when one of my professors stopped in class to say "o.m.g. Molly! Those are fantastic!". I decided to put them on etsy so that others could enjoy them too.

The mission of my shop, Atypical Arts, is to create and share unique things that will bring joy into peoples lives, while helping to support what I love to do.

I'm still figuring out how to navigate etsy. I opened a shop years ago, but have only very recently actually started trying to make it into something legit. I appreciate any feedback and suggestions!

All of the goods in my store are handmade by me with love and care! I don't use patterns, and everything is one of a kind and comes straight from my imagination. I am a firm believer in small businesses being the best foundation for a sound economy. I enjoy making everything that is available in my shop, and I only sell things that I would be ga-ga about if I saw them in somebody else's shop.

Payment
You can pay for purchases via PayPal, direct deposit, check, or money order. :)

If you would like to cancel an order, provided you do so before the item is shipped, I will refund you 100%. After the item is shipped cancellation will be handled as if you are returning the item. See refund policy below.
Shipping
All items shipped within the US are either via standard UPS or USPS first class (depending on the type of item).

Items will ship out within two business days once payment is received, and orders within the US should arrive within two weeks at the most.

International orders will still be shipped out within two business days, but delivery time will vary depending on the country. (If you would like an estimate, please convo me with your approximate address.) I will be sure to attach all necessary customs forms, etc. Following etsy's seller guidelines, any customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Expedited shipping is available for an additional $5 (US) or $10 (International). Please include a note with your order at the time of purchase and I will send you an updated paypal invoice. (If you are paying via check or money order, please simply add the extra shipping cost to your payment.)

If you would prefer a different kind of shipment please contact me before you make a purchase. I am happy to switch to your preferred method of shipping provided you are willing to cover any significant extra cost.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with any item (perhaps the critter you bought isn't getting along with your other pets?) please let me know within 30 days and return the item to me in its original condition. I will be happy to refund the price of your purchase. If there was a mistake on my end, I will also refund any additional costs you may have incurred (return shipping, etc).

FAQs

Q: How long will it take you to respond to a request/convo?
A: I do my best to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.

Q: Do you do custom orders?
A: Yes! If you are interested in a custom creation, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am happy to make any kind of felted animal or doll, and am open to other projects as well. In your convo try to provide a few details about what you'd like so that I can five you a proper estimate.

Q: Do you sell wholesale?
A: Yes! Convo me if you would like a breakdown of my wholesale pricing. Also, though I am excited to sell wholesale, I am only one person and will need adequate time to produce orders of mass quantities.

Q: Can I use your photos in my blog?
A: Yes! I am super happy to have the exposure! I only request that you link back to my shop/item.

Q: What if I still have questions?
A: Please don't hesitate to contact me! I'm happy to answer and questions/concerns you may have.
