About

Not just textiles - AUDACIOUS Textiles!

It's just me - sharing my rambling interests across all types of textile based items from knitting to leather! I try to disengage my sensible side and let my creative thoughts lead me into today's project.......

Regular visits to family members in Spain allow me to search locally for vintage leathers. Spain is well known for it's quality leather bags and shoes and, luckily for me, the area I visit is the heart of this industry. Colours and finishes galore! I love this as it allows me to produce truly unique pieces.

Of course, the inside of the book is important too and i obsessively collect papers (and fabrics) for my stash. Only the best gets into my books but it can vary from newspapers to envelopes and cardstock.

I particularly enjoy working with customers to produce highly personalised pieces - usually printed with their own photos or images, favourite music or lyrics, maps or country themed travel journals.

Everything is completely hand cut, stitched and finished.

Gift boxes and cards can be added for direct shipping to the recipient.

Textiles have always been a part of my life. My grandmother taught us how to knit and I clearly remember my first piece of embroidery completed at primary school. I grew up in a textile rich area and am thrilled to be doing what I'm doing!

Shop policies

Each item is individually handmade, primarily from vintage leather and fabrics. This fits in with a green, be kind to our planet ethos and ensures each design is unique. Inspiration comes from the material itself - a tweed jacket may become a fabulous ladies bag and a silk scarf may see a new lease of life as the bag's lining, A leather may be more suited to a book binding or a pencil case. What I make depends on what I find; keep checking back so you don't miss out!
