5 out of 5 starsThe tiles are exactly as pictured and the seller was very accomodating, designing a custom design and also making an arrow for me! I ordered two sets of house numbers one for the gate and one for out the front and they look amazing. Such a unique feature which matches the older style of our house. One con (not the fault of the seller) is that the process of making and then shipping the tile does take a while which is hard to wait if you are inpatient like me! However finished product is well worth it (:
About AugustaWyndeDesigns
Thanks for visiting AugustaWynde Designs, home of The Un-Potter!!
My artwork comes simply from a love of nature and the sounds of the buoy bells on the lake where I grew up. I find nature to be soothing and healing, and feel that I was called to catch these moments of nature's beauty for all to enjoy. I also enjoy creating unique and fun items, using color and texture as inspirations. As a divorced mother, I balance my artwork with simply enjoying life with my children. My teenage son has been sculpting with me for many years now, and his unique viewpoint often leads my art in new and vibrant paths. My 11 year old daughter's unique viewpoint of the world enlightens me daily. The joy and light of my 5-year-old lifts and energizes me, and I strive to capture that enthusiasm in everything I do. My 3-year-old keeps me on my toes with her boundless energy and endless imagination, and reminds me to see everything like it's a brand new experience. I'm blessed to spend my days and nights with my children, and can't imagine a life any other way.
My ceramic work is hand-built, which means that no pottery wheel is used. I shape and form the clay using simple tools and my hands. I use artisan crafted laces and wooden impression stamps to keep my work unique. The leaf shapes are created using the impressions of real leaves, most grown right here in my yard in Michigan's "thumb". The leaves burn off in the firing process, leaving behind their unique images. No two leaf items will ever be the same.
I also use vintage commercial slip-casting molds to create new versions of vintage items, and as a base to create some one-of-a-kind vessels and candle lanterns.
I'm proud to be an award-winning artist, and I've also been featured in CERAKANVAS Magazine, and was 2nd runner-up for a Reader's Choice Award.
Please visit the keepsake division of AugustaWynde Designs at www.etsy.com/shop/AugustinasAffections for beautiful bronze hand-print and footprint jewelry, as we as anything else that strikes my fancy.
