Aurora Grace Bakery & Chocolates

Our bonbons are handcrafted, hand-painted, artisanal creations. An expression of art using couverture chocolate from Valrhona. Drawing on inspiration from her work in pastry at a series of world class, Michelin-starred restaurants, Aurora creates unique chocolates and confections using the highest quality ingredients. All of our chocolates are painted by hand, creating a unique work of art in every bite.

After several years of working in the Michelin-starred kitchens of New York, Pastry Chef Aurora Wold made the move to Philadelphia to open her own business. She worked her way up through the ranks; starting as a dishwasher in Ithaca, New York, spending time in savory at L'amante in Burlington, Vermont, to working at The Musket Room (One Michelin Star), and Jean Georges (Three Michelin Stars), before landing at San Pellegrino World's Best Restaurant: Eleven Madison Park (Three Michelin Stars).

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Our handcrafted chocolates are perfect for a range of occasions. Fully customizable, and of course we can make deals for bulk orders and shipping rates. Bonbon colors and design can be made to your choosing as well as flavor, packaging, ribbons, and special gift tags for your wedding!

Care instructions

For optimal enjoyment of our chocolates, consume within 10-14 days of purchase. Store in the refrigerator (preferably a wine fridge) as chocolate is best stored at 65F. Allow chocolate to come to room temperature for 30-45 mins before consuming. The process of allowing your bonbons to warm up a little bit is called tempering and is a method used to allow for the true flavors of the confection to be evident. As the chocolate tempers, it becomes less brittle and easier to eat.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Our chocolates already come packaged as a beautiful gift in boxes with tissue paper and ribbon. If you would like something more like a wrapped present, just contact me and I would be happy to make something for you with a handwritten card.

Wholesale availability

Aurora Grace also does wholesale. We supply to gift shops, coffee houses, restaurants and grocery stores. We sell them either loose (to be sold from a case, by weight) or packaged in gift boxes.

To local restaurants we sell loose as well, white label. Fine dining restaurants that don't possess the equipment, space, or manpower to house a full blown pastry program can purchase their petit fours from Aurora Grace. To round out the program, we also produce pate de fruit, marshmallows, and miniature macarons. Contact me for more information about wholesale and bulk orders for events and weddings. Local delivery is available for businesses.

Whats the deal with your shipping guide?

Please be aware that we only ship orders Monday through Thursday via USPS Priority mail. Please be aware of the time of delivery so as to avoid leaving the chocolate out in the heat for too long (especially in the warmer months).
Chocolate is very sensitive to heat and is prone to melting and coming out of "temper" during periods of temperature fluxuation. Chocolate is best kept at an ambient temperature of 65 degrees F in dry, dark conditions. We do our best to maintain the quality of our product before it reaches our customer's hands - to ensure the condition of the chocolate please abide by the shipping guidelines in the product description. We supply cold packs and insulating material to ensure freshness as well.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes! Aurora Grace accommodates all dietary restrictions. While we may ask for a longer processing time to acquire the necessary ingredients, we can make our confections to your needs. Currently all bonbons and macarons are gluten free.
