The antler shipped promptly and was really bigger than the pictures showed! Most of the time its the other way round! I just wish I could purchase the other matching side! That would be great! Bucky

Welcome to Austin Antlers, y'all!

There’s a place in Texas where the land isn’t flat. It’s true. Rolling hills, limestone rock, caves, aquifers & spring fed pools. Pink sunsets, constant breeze, rivers. This is the Hill Country. It’s full of live oaks, cactus, & cedar. I can hear coyotes from my bedroom window; there are snakes, scorpions, armadillos and amazing deer.

This lovely country supports the largest white-tailed deer population in Texas. Unlike horned animal (cows), male white-tailed deer shed their antlers once a year starting from their first year of life. Length and branching of antlers is determined by nutrition, age, and genetics.

My antlers are from Texas Hill Country. None of these deer were hunted.

Antlers add a natural accent your home. I put them on my mantel, dining room table and shelves. Paint them. Display them. Brag about them. Love them. Imagine walking around with them on you head. Pretty amazing, uh? Deer rock.

Additional policies and FAQs
Deer antlers are a natural product. Annually deer form antlers in velvet first, then scrape the velvet off via trees and brush. They sharpen their antlers for fighting over doe. Then their antlers shed. The process results in beautiful, unique items. Each antler has been cleaned to the best of my ability but each as aged in different ways. You can clean them up further, etc. Some points have broken off due to fighting. I have taken several pictures of each item so that you can get a good idea of the shape of these amazing antlers. Also, in some cases, one of the deer preserves marked the antlers in black marker. I did not attempt to take the marking off besides a soak in bleach and water.
