A Hot Spot at Luna Park Since 1993
An old brick building houses a vibrant glass art studio in a funky corner of West Seattle called Luna Park. Giant neon letters on the roof are a landmark. We share the site with a long-standing kitschy restaurant, Luna Park Cafe. Seattle is known for its art glass and we are the oldest hot shop in this neighborhood. Our studio was started by an entrepreneurial artist in 1993. We purchased it in 2003 and kept it pretty much the same. Make art glass is the studio, sell it in the adjacent store. Most of our customers are neighborhood folks who prize the quality and locally made craft. Sometimes tourists find us, slightly off the beaten path, and a quick water taxi ride from downtown Seattle. They also find wonderful souvenirs from their trip to Seattle. We have a distinctive Northwest style that is evident in our nature-inspired forms. Colorful vases and sea life are our best sellers, as well as holiday ornaments and gifts. Ever-popular are glass floats. Beautiful sturdy spheres that are inspired by vintage fishing floats are available year round for decorating homes, gardens, and offices.
