And finally I discovered my passion in life...
Since I was 5 years old I have always loved crafts. I had the wonderful luck of meeting Carmela, a person close to my family who had a small craft stall in the center of Seville. I spent hours with her designing and making accessories and jewelry of all kinds. Since then, I collect necklaces of all colors, sizes, materials and shapes, since for me, jewelry and accessories have always been a differentiating element to change and elevate a look.
In the last years of my academic training, I did not have any more influence that led me to deepen in this field and I opted, like many young people, for a university career with greater job opportunities.
As a result of my sister's wedding a couple of years ago, I began to generate great interest in floral conservation and thanks to this, I realized that my passion in this life had always been crafts. That illusion of making pieces with your own hands that have a special meaning for someone, pieces that, although imperfect, become unique works of great value.
Although it started with pressed flowers, my idea was always based on using the combination of glass and metal to make unique and personalized pieces of great quality and design.
I focused all my time, money and effort on learning the Tiffany technique, preserving pressed flowers, epoxy resin and, finally, traditional jewelry to combine all these artisan techniques and create a brand that would not only innovate in the field of art , design and fashion but will also promote these artisan trades that are lost over time, giving it a new approach to bet on the quality and value of handcrafted products and more specifically, products made in Spain .
And so AZALEA by MAC was born, an innovative and sustainable 100% artisan company dedicated to creating unique and personalized luxury pieces made mainly of glass and metal with a very defined Art Deco style, thus giving a second life to the Tiffany stained glass technique.
Design pieces that transmit that special brightness, light and color of the stained glass window to illuminate exclusive spaces and make us shine with our own light.
