Where to begin? I had no style as a kid lets just put that out there, my brothers, well loved, hand me downs made up the majority of my closet. My ‘fanciest outfit’ was a forest green Adidas track suit I had received for my Birthday, and I probably wore it three times a week. As you’ve probably surmised by now I was teenager of the early 2000’s or the Y2K era, where thong underwear over pants was an actual thing *cough* Brittany *cough*, so I shouldn’t be surprised my adolescents was filled with regrettable fashion moments, thankfully they were only captured by disposable cameras and low quality flip phones. Eventually as my magazine tastes evolved from teen beat to vogue, and my tv interests from Lizzie Mcguire to Sex and the City, so too did my sense of style. This left me with only one more issue… how does one have a Carrie Bradshaw NYC wardrobe on a ten dollar per week allowance, in a city smaller than Hoboken????….And that's how my love of thrifting began.
I learned quickly about wardrobe staples and quality fabrics, in a thrift store it was easy to see what held up to the test of time. Years later after converting my second bedroom into a closet and having worked my way up the management chain in the fashion retail industry, I decided to take the leap and combine my real world experience with my passion for time tested, unique, vintage pieces, and that's how I came to Etsy.
