🎈 Can the foil balloons be filled and float with helium?
Some of our foil balloons can be filled with helium and will float, as long as they are designed for helium use. As this can vary by size and style, we recommend referring to the Item Description within the individual product listing. Each listing includes specific details on whether that particular balloon is helium-compatible and suitable for floating.

🎈Where can I get my helium-compatible balloons filled?
We recommend contacting local party supply and dollar stores in your area to confirm whether they will fill balloons that were not purchased onsite, and any other policies and applicable fees. Some grocery stores with large floral departments may also offer helium.
🎈What does “air-fill only” mean for balloons?
These particular balloons should only be inflated with air as they will not float with helium. All 16” balloon letters are air-fill only, and come with ribbon to hang.
🎈How can I inflate a foil balloon?
A quick and easy way to inflate foil balloons is to use the included straw. If you need more straws, any straight paper or soft plastic straw will do the trick. Hard plastic or metal straws are not recommended as they may stretch, puncture, and damage the self-sealing valve. Do not over inflate as this can cause the balloon to pop.
When inflating a balloon, keep in mind that your breath is warm. When your warm breath cools, the balloon may start to look deflated and you may need to top up the balloon with a little more air.
A hand pump can also be used to inflate, these are generally available at your local dollar store. Electric balloon pumps are a great option if you have many large balloons to fill, we recommend purchasing on Amazon.
🎈How to Inflate a Balloon with a Straw
1. Begin by locating the valve on the tail end of the balloon.
2. Insert the straw into the seal between the two layers of plastic. Keep in mind that the inner seal will open once the straw is fully inserted into the balloon.
3. As you blow into the straw, the balloon will begin to inflate.
4. It is important to pinch the sides of the straw so the air does not come out. If you pinch too hard, you may block the airflow. If this happens, then loosen up your grip.
5. Do not over-inflate the balloon because it will cause the balloon to burst. Once the balloon is fully inflated, gently remove the straw while pinching the tab.
6. Seal the balloon by rubbing your fingers over the valve and up the neck.
