Some confusion regarding lead time. Happy to have received the item, more happy that it was even available.

Thanks so much for the very large antique nails. Arrived safely.

Every Treasure Has A Story

BKG started as a way to help a family member pare down a warehouse full of collectibles. I had no idea I would enjoy it so much! There are so many beautiful antiques - and even no-so-beautiful ones - that were important to somebody somewhere. And amazingly, they will become important to somebody again. Making that match and the link between the old and new is very special.

I try to carry a diverse range of items (and there's more added all the time), but there is a bit of a lean towards Canadian antiques. I'm proud of Canada's history and love showing the Canadian editions of books or toys or memorabilia. You'll also find a bit of militaria; many of them are items that have been found at estate sales over many years. I try very hard to preserve the items as is. They may get a little cleaning if they really deserve it, but often those scratches and dents have stories and they are all characters in these special antiques.

BKG is still pretty new but I hope with the help of other treasure collectors I'll have a much bigger story to tell someday soon.

I love finding out the stories behind special items and why people collect the things they do. I'm one of those people who will drive 15 minutes out of the way just to read a plaque about someone who was important in a small village 100 years ago.
