Ninja Cats is one of a kind art patch, mini fiber art just added to my store -POW MEOW
I am retiring this very first Birds and Berries printing block from two years ago and made three last towels yesterday. One is going to California as 18th birthday present to a girl who loves to cook. The other two are listed as odd-ball set in my store.

About

BLOCKprintedArt is original design by Karin Mansberg.

Since 2014 Karin has been making block printed textiles with her original designs under the label BLOCKprintedArt. The aspect of handmade is important to me: slow and purposeful process of making is meditative, and I do not focus on volume but rather on crating a unique piece. The other important factor of slow kind of making is to work with natural fibers that wear and age well; I search for unused linen and cotton yardige which depending on fabric weight become cloth napkins or bags. I try to live by credo: minimize waste whenever possible. Because I am often dependent on the size of found material at hand, I make limited edition block printed fashion accessories: tote bags, zipper pouches, scarves - with embroidered or crochet details. I like working with repurposed denim. The zippers on pouches and coin purses are often from discarded jeans and other garments.

Thank you for visiting BLOCKprintedArt Etsy shop.

BLOCKprintedArt fabric is designed and printed by me at my home. I test all inks and fabrics before I commit to offer the product in my store, because I want to make things that last. I like working with natural fibers such as linen and cotton. Handprinted ink on the fabric is permanent and washable. It is recommended to machine wash hand printed items in cold water and hang to dry.

Currently I am committed to making small runs or one of the kind items. Everything from paper cards to yards of fabric is printed by hand.
Ironic, but I am conscious of waste...so how do I balance it while being a maker of things?! I make less and reuse when possible by giving existing materials another life.

I look for good quality, natural fabrics to create products which could be cherished for a long time and may be even passed down to the next generation.
