About

So you have only one earring....

I started out making the magnetic brooches only. My daughter had the most gorgeous, delicate sweater and she did not want to put holes in it. Voila! My magnetic brooches were born. From there it just grew and grew into what it is now and who knows what is next.

We have always been into antiques, including having an antiques booth at Wynola Junction in Julian CA. So hunting for the makings of my jewelry just fit right in with shopping for antiques. And as you can imagine the most fun is in the hunt! A marriage made in heaven......

I look everywhere and use so many different vintage and antique items in my jewelry it's amazing. As an example, what do you do with one screw back earring. Well - you take it apart of course! Use the decorative part of the earring as a center piece for a piece of jewelry. And the screw you ask?? Well, I take that apart and use it to hold my bails together onto a pendant. And watches? don't even get me started on that!

So all this hunting got me started in the vintage jewelry and vanity items. I found so many beautiful pieces that they became a category of their own. The vintage silver is especially dear to my heart. Well that's not true - all my vintage items are special.

I am originally from New York but moved to California in 1989 and never looked back (except for visits, of course) I love the place I am in - both location and life wise. Having always been in the arts, making jewelry just adds the final touch.
