The shelves Benjamin created are beautiful! The craftsmanship is lovely and very finished. Can't wait to hang them!

The custom walnut floating shelf I ordered looks great, seems to be very high quality, arrived on time well protected. Perhaps my only comment is that the mounting instructions call for the screws to be on top. I disregarded this and used a little wood glue on the mounting bracket for added support. At least so far, it is very stable.

Frequently asked questions

What's the thinnest you can make a shelf?

The thinnest I can make a shelf with a floating mount is 2".

How long does it take to build my order?

It depends on size and quantity, but generally between 2-4 weeks. If you need a rush order, I can accommodate 2-weeks or less for an extra $25 per item.

Can you stain these darker?

Yes! All my items pictured are unstained, natural black walnut, but a darker stain may be applied for an extra $20 per item (Sorry, I don't do black stain!)

Why does it take so long to build a couple shelves?

The process of woodworking takes a substantial time investment to produce a quality product. There are many steps that must be done thoroughly and carefully. Rushing produces a sloppy product!

Also keep in mind that you are not my only customer. There may be up to 15 orders ahead of you, so I have to take care of them first! I am thankful for every order and will do my best to get yours out as soon as possible, which is generally 3-4 weeks.

What's the deepest you can make a shelf?

I make my shelves up to 10 inches deep. Anything deeper and the shelf's weight rating will drop significantly (think leverage).
