Hello, I’m Veronica, the hands behind Bubulinas.
I sew one-of-a-kind cotton rope bowls and trays in my home studio in Melbourne, Florida. Each piece is coiled by hand and finished with fabric, yarn, or a small accent — a shell, a wooden leaf, a starfish, a handle. No two are the same.
Bubulinas started almost by accident. After my granddaughter was born, I promised myself I’d make her first doll. While I was sewing it, I found my creative side again — and I realized how much I love making things with my own hands. One piece led to another: dolls, jewelry, market days. These rope bowls are what I love making now.
I keep the shop small on purpose. I want every bowl to feel like a gift when it arrives — for toiletries, bread on the table, a baby shower, or a housewarming.
Winnie is usually nearby in the studio. She’s listed as my motivational partner, which is only a little bit of a joke.
