BackwardCatStudio- a history
BackwardCatStudio opened in 2011 with the aim of making and selling 100% original works of art. I had a very simple ethos when I began the Studio- make affordable art and never make copies or prints. I believe that everyone should be able to own original art and it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg.
I work from home splitting my time between my little studio space and my dining room table. I take frequent breaks for tea and I love what I do. I've always wanted to be an artist and although the road I've travelled up to this point hasn't always been smooth and I'm no stranger to the odd wrong turn or two, I've been very lucky and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Thank you for looking at my shop and (hopefully) admiring my wares.
I live and work in South Wales. I drink a lot of tea and I enjoy rambling about the countryside. I've travelled extensively and all of this makes its way into my work.
Accepted payment methods
You place your order and make your payment. I aim to process orders within 1-2 working days (any delays or holidays will be announced). Unless otherwise stated, orders will be dispatched to the address listed on your order- so please ensure the address is correct.
Within the UK I ship via Royal Mail 1st class. These are expected to take no more than 2-3 working days, depending on where in our little Island you live but please allow for delays.
PLEASE NOTE ~ I aim to treat our customers fairly and I hope to be treated fairly in return. Sometimes there are postal delays. These are unavoidable and as such I cannot accept responsibility for them, as I'm sure you can understand. Nor can I be held responsible for delays or additional charges caused by customs. Additional import fees, sadly, are the responsibility of the buyer.
All sketches, drawings and prints are posted in card-backed envelopes to avoid damage to the item and come in a clear plastic sleeve.

Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase and to save both buyer and seller time and money I'd like to politely request that you are 100% certain before placing an order. If, however, as is sometimes the case, you are not fully satisfied with your order, please contact the Studio within 2 days of receipt and I will work to resolve any issues. Refunds can be considered, depending on the circumstances, but please note that return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I would only refund the cost of the item, IF the item is returned in the condition it was recieved, within 7 days.
