When I created BadgeBlingCS, I was a full time, night shift Registered Nurse, with a title of Charge Nurse Supervisor on an Ortho-Neuro unit (with Med Surg overflow) in Denver. In March 2020, I made the hard decision of leaving bedside and focusing on family, my mental health and and to better take care of my valuable customers, like you. I am back to working at a surgery center since July 2022 and continue to make awesome jewelry! Unlike many badge sellers on Etsy, I actually wear a badge to work and understand the mechanics and importance of a personalized piece of jewelry needing to express your personality.

It's been a rough and interesting road to becoming a Nurse. I could probably write a book..."Teenage Mom, Thought to be The Underdog, Makes It!" Would be the title...but here I am, a mom of 2, 3 dogs, an RN and now a BadgeBlingCS jeweler!

I first started out with sculpting clay. I made a cute skull candy pumpkin for halloween, then made a cheery snowman head with a long candy cane nose, for Christmas. For each holiday is a new badge to exchange. Although the pumpkin and snowman were cute, I wanted something that glittered and sparkled. And now I am here with these beauties to sell!

When I gathered and created the 17 pieces that made my Tree of Life badge cover and then my fancy badges, that's when my life as a jewelry maker began!
🍭My first sale: A fellow coworker that worked with came to me and told me she was on Etsy for hours and could not find the perfect gift for her friend who was leaving our unit. She asked me if I could make a Tree of Life badge cover for her to give as a gift and there it began, my first sale! I couldn't believe all the complements I was receiving just from my own badge, and now I'm selling them! The Nurses, CNAs, Pharmacist, techs, and PAs on my unit and in my hospital gave me the experience and courage to open this Esty shop and expand my jewelry to you! I love creating your ideas and color combinations into the finished product. The possibilities are endless!

Each badge is removable for those pesky reels that break. It is held on by industrial strength velcro so you can exchange your collection with the mood and current season.

Each badge is 1.5"-2.25" in diameter and most made of a silver metal alloy that could tarnish over time. Same with charms, they will tarnish. But don't fret, It adds a rose/bronze toned patina on the outer surface that adds character to your look.

Alligator swivel Reels are included in all badge reel orders! You can substitute the alligator clip with a stationary belt/slide clip. The slide clip doesn't rotate, but holds my heavier badges perfectly flush on your scrub top. I actually use both, but really fall towards the belt clip.

BadgeBlingCS is designed to be applied directly onto your badge reel and can be easily removed and added to another reel if yours breaks! Pretty neat. Start your collection today!❤
