Hands on learning

Understanding ammunition and how ammunition functions in a firearm is an essential component of practicing firearm safety. Having personally worked as Forensic Firearms Expert, explaining those ideas was an important and every-day part of the job...especially in courtroom testimony. However, it can be very difficult for a person to visualize the detailed steps that need occur in order to discharge a cartridge and launch a bullet from a barrel. This is especially true if you are talking to someone who is totally unfamiliar with or has never even touched a firearm. This is why visual aides are essential teaching tools.

On the job, we didn't have any good visual aides to help us teach. Sure, there are pictures and posters, but there was nothing hands on that could provide the interactive aspect that visual learners need, nothing that gave students that "Ah-Ha, I get it now" moment. This was the inspiration that led me to create these unique, exploded models that are not only essential for teaching, but also look great and make perfect gifts for any gun enthusiast in your life.

I started with some basic designs, which failed...of course. But over time and with a little luck, trial-and-error, and some elbow grease I was able to develop a version that was inert, safe to handle, and very durable. I brought them to work and everyone went bananas! The response was overwhelming. Eventually, someone asked where they could buy one. And here I am.

That response led me to open this shop, where I hope to provide interesting and unique items that appeal to a wide variety of people. All of the ammunition displays are individually built by my hands on my porch in Upstate, NY. While the work can be tedious, I love building them and continue to learn more and more.

Each Patent-Pending display is meticulous fitted together with specialized custom-parts in order to maximize its durability and visual impact. Each component (the primer cup, anvil, cartridge case, gunpowder, and bullet) have been expanded out along a central axis in their natural order to show how and where they fit together inside a cartridge of live ammunition.

Their strength is derived from the proprietary solid-core design and minimal use of unnecessary parts. The unique appearance of the powder was developed using a unique bonding technique that I developed over months of testing and ensures the powder will hold up to repeated handling. The displays are 100% inert and contain ZERO combustible material. The primers are deactivated and the "powder" portion is made using a custom simulated smokeless powder called SimPowder(TM). This allows the displays to be safely handed and shipped anywhere in the world, without restriction.

Returns and exchange details
ACCEPTANCE: The terms and conditions set forth herein contain the sole, entire and exclusive agreement between the Seller and the Buyer in this transaction superseding all prior discussions, proposals, negotiations, representations, and agreements. Any additional or conflicting terms, whether or not material, shall not, in any manner by implication, by waiver, or otherwise, govern the relationship between Seller and Buyer. Any waiver, modification or amendment of these terms and conditions shall only be effective as against Seller if such waiver, modification or amendment is contained in a written instrument duly executed by or on behalf of Seller. Acceptance of this Agreement by Seller is specifically conditioned upon the terms and conditions set forth herein.

CANCELLATIONS: Individual orders may be canceled for full refund within 24 hours of purchase. As these items are made-to-order, cancellations requests made after 24 hours may be subject to a 50% cancelation fee be denied outright. Any cancellation requests made after an order has been packaged and readied for shipment will be outright denied. Large orders (consisting of four or more), discounted items, custom and/or special orders involving any type of customization or personalization, or returns resulting from an approved exchange request, will not be canceled under any circumstances.

REFUNDS: Refund requests placed within three (3) days of delivery will be accepted without question or refusal. However, it is requested the Buyer supply the seller with the reason for the return. Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the item(s) ordered and after verification that the product(s) has not been altered, damaged, of mutilated in any way. The Buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs, and may be subject to a 35% restocking fee. Original shipping costs will not be refunded, unless the refund is resulting from defective product. After three (3) days, ALL SALES ARE FINAL, and refunds will not be issued.

EXCHANGES: Exchange requests within three (3) days of delivery are accepted. The Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees and cost differences. Additional processing times will occur. Exchanges will be issued after receipt of the item(s) ordered and after verification that the product(s) has not been altered, damaged, of mutilated in any way. Items returned for exchange must be received in a pristine and resalable condition. After three (3) days, ALL SALES ARE FINAL, and exchanges will not be accepted.

SPECIALTY ORDERS: Returns, be it for refund or exchange, or cancelations on custom, and/or special, and/or large (more than four), and/or bulk, and/or at discounted and/or reduced pricing will not be accepted. ALL SPECIALTY/CUSTOM SALES ARE FINAL.

6. DAMAGES: SHIPPING DAMAGES MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY within one (1) day of delivery. The Buyer must include photographs of the packaging where damage is located, as well as any damage incurred by the items within the packaging. In the case of shipping damages, the Buyer will photographically document, the items condition as it was received, before full unpacking. While damages resulting from shipping are ultimately the responsibility of the Buyer to handle directly with the United States Post Office, the Seller may work with Buyer to ensure a satisfactory resolution. Damages or defects resulting from manufacturing MUST BE REPORTED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF DELIVERY, will be the sole responsibility of the Seller, and will be dealt with on a case to case basis and may be resolved by, but not limited to, replacement or refund. Any additional shipping costs resulting from production defect will be the responsibility of the Seller.
PAYMENT: Seller must receive Payment prior to production. Production will not begin until payment is received and fully processed


a. All orders shall be priced in accordance with Seller's prices in effect on the date of purchase.

b. Seller's listing price does not include any sales tax or other charge now or hereafter imposed by law or regulation, domestic of foreign, upon any product or material herein sold. Accordingly, in addition to the price specified herein, the amount of any such sales tax or other charge applicable to this transaction herein shall be paid by Buyer. Any such additional charges will be included in the Seller’s invoice to Buyer.
As all products are handmade to order, all purchases are subject to a 2-5 week processing/build time and items will only be shipped after construction has been completed.
**Express Priority is the only service with a guarantee delivery time. It is guaranteed to arrive 1-2 days after shipment**

Priority Shipping takes 2-3 day for delivery, but, according to the US Post Office, that is NOT A GUARANTEE. 99% of Priority shipments arrive in 2-3 days, however, 1% of orders have taken longer. The longest so far has been a 13 day delay.

First Class Shipping with USPS is, generally, 6-10 days. It can take more or less, but it only applies to items less than 13oz.

a. Shipment dates are based upon Seller's best judgment, are subject to production limitations and schedules, and hence are not guaranteed.

b. All sales, unless otherwise specified herein, are F.O.B. Seller's plant. Buyer is solely responsible for notifying the carrier as to any damage to or loss in transit of materials.

FORCE MAJEURE: Any delays in or any failure of performance or delivery by Seller shall not constitute default or give rise to any claims for damages if and to the extent caused, directly or indirectly, by acts of God; acts of the Buyer; acts, rules or regulations of governmental authority (civil or military, executive, legislative, judicial or otherwise); strikes or other concerted acts of workers; lockout, labor difficulties, fires, floods, store, accident, earthquakes, tidal waves, or other natural disasters.

When will my order ship?

As all products are handmade to order, they are subject to a 2-5 week processing/build time. Once your order is complete in full and shipped, delivery can take from 2-10 days domestic (more for international shipping) depending on the type of shipping you purchased at checkout.
**Express Priority is the only service with a guarantee delivery time. It is guaranteed to arrive 1-2 days after shipment**

It said there was multiple items available when I checked out, why is it taking so long to ship?

The availability refers to the amount of material I have on hand to complete a display. The majority of my displays are NOT ready to ship and require a 2-5 week building time.

If I order one today, will it arrive next week?

No. Most displays are made to order and are subject to 2-5 week production times. If you need it faster, Rush orders are available. Please contact me with the specific item you would like for the associated rush fees.

2-5 weeks is too long. Can I get it faster?

Yes, however, there will be an additional fee. In general, rush fees begin at $35. Please contact me with the specific item you would like for the associated rush fees.

Do you accept product/service trades?

Yes. In certain circumstances, I will accepts trades as payment. Trade items must be received by my prior to beginning any production. If the items are not as described, I will refuse the trade and you must pay the return shipping if you want the item back. Please contact me directly if you are interested.
