This is my Rainbow Hippo painting-in-progress. Sometimes I paint upside-down so that I will concentrate on colors and textures. In the finished painting, you'll see that I added little lines to indicate where the wrinkles are on the legs and face. Enjoy!

Tomatoes painting in progress. In any painting, negative spaces are very important. Those spaces between the objects have to be given a lot of thought and planning. See that in the finished painting I've darkened them quite a bit to give greater depth.

Orders of fine art prints of my original watercolor paintings are printed on high quality acid-free paper. I mat them using archival artist tape and white beveled, acid-free mats, which I sign. Now they're ready to fit into your standard size frame!

I'm excited to be starting a new series of watercolor paintings! I loved working on my Sports Series, like this Soccer Player, and just started a rainbow zebra painting. Are there other animals you'd like me to include in this series?
