    Making magic and telling stories

I started making wands for myself in college, and rune pendants for fundraisers for our pagan group. My favorite was one I made of Beech wood, from a tree called "El Arbol de Su Sueno" (The Tree of your Dream). I had covered it in runes and it was very potent and very special to me.

A few years later, I found my brother's dog eating it. I was crushed, but when I look back, losing that wand was a beginning, not an end. I made myself a new wand, and realized that making wands was something that felt very good to do.

I realized I could sell these. Drawing on my devotion to my goddess, I worked my bardic path into the craft, and created my first wand meant for sale, inspired by a Scottish folk tale of Angus and Bhride. I took it to the local New Age shop, and after a couple weeks it had been sold. Bardistry Wands was born.

I learned about stories, myths, and poetry in my very early youth, & my love of them only grew over time. I really embraced paganism in college, and met the two most important people in my life: my girlfriend Gwyneth, and my goddess, Brighid.

Bardistry Wands is a pet project of mine, which I discovered after making a few wands for my own use and practice, when I realized that this was something I could offer to others as well.

I cater to witches, pagans, and the magically inclined, but these are truly for anyone who appreciates the art and workmanship of them. The intended purpose of my wands is as ritual tools for directing energies, but I can also make wands for use as props, accessories, or mantelpiece art.

Bardistry wands are all one-of-a-kind. You will not find me churning out replicas of famous movie props, or stocking my shelves with rows of identical wands. Each one is a unique work of art. Some are simple, others more complex, but no two are alike, and each one has its own story and thought placed behind it.

    What does "Bardistry" mean?

Bardistry is a portmanteau of "Bardic Artistry." I consider myself to be on the path of the Bard--the storyteller, and the one who keeps the tales and myths of old. Therefore the creation of mystical art objects, often inspired by the ancient myths of long ago, I call "Bardistry."

    Will you take custom orders?

Absolutely! If you like my work, I am happy to take commissions and give you exactly the piece you desire.

    How much do you charge?

My wands cost anywhere from around $30 to $200, depending on level of detail, materials, and time consumed in making.
