Naturally elegant jewelry in pure metals. Titanium, niobium, fine silver, 14k gold filled. Non-allergenic & nickel free earrings for sensitive ears

I'm Eyahna, the designer and maker of Barefoot Pony jewelry. I personally create all of the jewelry components, or elements, that are used in my designs (with the exception of a few irresistible charms). Each piece of jewelry is made in my studio, which is located in Oregon's beautiful Pacific Northwest.
The natural beauty of Western Oregon inspires and sooths me...spending time in nature grounds me and helps give me the focus and dedication I need to create my timeless jewelry designs, with loving attention to detail given to each and every piece.

It's Truly Handmade:
I use raw materials to make ear wires, dangles, hoops, and various hand formed and hammered shapes. These components evolve into a variety of unique designs, both simple and complex. Each piece starts out as a little pile of "stuff"-- wire, beads, metal scraps, stones.

Quality Comes First:
On every level, from material selection, to design and construction, every piece I produce is made to exacting standards. I have been a jewelry lover and collector all my life. To me, a piece of jewelry has a life and presence all it's own, it's character determined by the quality of materials, the strength and balance of design, and durability of construction.

Pure Metals / Non-allergenic Choices:
I purchase my bulk materials, primarily spools of wire and bead strands, only from reputable sources. All my wire is sourced from USA manufacturers, and is guaranteed to be nickel free. I am very particular about the metals that I use in my jewelry. I also specialize in product choices for people who have sensitivities or metal allergies, such as titanium, niobium, and pure 99.9 % fine silver.

It's Got to be a Little Different:
Each piece I make comes from my private inspiration. Even designs I repeat are actually one-of-a-kind, because I add little extra touches to each one until it seems "just right". I do keep aware of current trends, but my creative urges tend to keep me making whatever I feel like in the moment, drawing upon a life-long love of jewelry from all cultures and time periods.

Gemstones with Character:
I have a soft spot for gemstones that seem "down to earth", strange, quirky, unusual, or rustic....Amethyst with ghost-like inclusions or crystaline patterns, banded agates, unusual and exotic jaspers, quartz with tourmaline rutiles, grossular garnets, wood opals, and all sorts of "real earth minerals".

A little History:
In a the beautiful forested hills of Western Oregon, I began my jewelry business in a tiny cabin in the woods, often working late into the night, with a small woodstove providing cozy warmth. Barefoot Pony came to life in this environment of raw nature and a simple rustic lifestyle, where each day and night seemed to have it's own particular magic.

After leaving my job with a local jewelry manufacturer, and with the company's blessings, I pursued my own jewelry business in this humble and rustic forest home. Little simple things seemed to matter so much more, amidst the long expanses of quiet. This place of authentic, quiet simplicity became a presence in the character of my designs, and continues to influence them today.

After years of forming and hammering metal, under my former employer's increasing pressures of production quotas and assembly line efficiency marks, I relished the idea of making jewelry the way I wanted to...with attention to detail and quality as first priority, even within the simplest of designs. It was pure pleasure to take my skill with hammer and anvil, and apply that skill to my original designs.

This new rural and rugged lifestyle that I was living naturally led me in the direction of designing jewelry that was balanced, easy and comfortable to wear, with extremely durable construction. I was especially drawn to gem stones that were earthy, as they felt like they "belonged" in this environment of moss and native crystals, towering trees and endless paths. In addition to offering AAA quality classic gemstones and freshwater pearls, I also offer rare and unusual, often somewhat rustic stones, with fascinating character.

Thank you for getting to know a little bit about me. I hope my jewelry designs bring you joy, and help you to create a great look everyday!

Accepted payment methods

Barefoot Pony accepts Paypal (and credit cards through Paypal).
You choose from 2 payment methods:

1. Pay with your Paypal account.

2. Pay with your credit card using Paypal's Secure Guest Checkout (no Paypal account needed).

Your credit card information will always remain private with Paypal.
Shipping Options:
1. Standard Shipping is 1st Class USPS, includes tracking and insurance.
2. Priority Shipping is USPS Priority Mail, includes tracking and insurance.
3. SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION, can be added to either shipping options, and protects package from possibility of theft after delivery.

Standard Shipping: USPS 1st Class Mail with delivery confirmation, tracking, and insurance. I add insurance to every package I ship. However, insurance does not cover the loss of a package due to theft. Once the package is delivered, and scanned into the tracking information as "Delivered", insurance coverage ends.

SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION****If you have any concerns about the safety of your package once it has been delivered (in mailbox, on doorstep, porch, or left with doorman of apartment building), please choose "Signature confirmation" when selecting your shipping choice. You may add signature confirmation onto USPS 1st class standard shipping, or onto the USPS Priority mail. You will then need to sign for your package, or pick it up directly at your local post office.

Priority Shipping:
Priority shipping is available, with packages scheduled to arrive within 1-3 days after they are accepted and scanned in by the post office. Priority shipped items are mailed in a small flat rate box. The postal service does not guarantee the 1-3 day delivery window, but I have found that they do an excellent job getting their priority packages delivered on time.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: please note that I ship USPS International First Class Mail, and that it may take 1 to 6 weeks for your package to be delivered. Tracking is not available for all countries, and customs protocol varies from country to country, as does the value added tax, or "VAT".

Please check with your individual country for customs information, as processing through customs may add a delay in the delivery date of your package. Certain countries add a VAT, or "value added tax". This VAT is the sole responsibility of you, as the buyer, so please check with your own country's policies before ordering.
Refunds and Exchanges
Customer satisfaction is one of my highest priorities! If you are not happy with your purchase, please try to contact me within 3 days after receipt of the item so we can discuss options. I handle exchanges and refunds on an individual basis, so please contact me as soon as possible, and I will do my very best to accomodate you! All returns or exchanges must be pre-authorized by Barefoot Pony. Any return package must include tracking/delivery confirmation. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Before Ordering:
Please take a moment to read the detailed descriptions and measurements that I provide in each listing. Grab a ruler and take a look at those measurements! This will help you so much to visualize the scale of an item, especially huggie style cartilage hoops!

However, I do realize that sometimes it is still difficult to visualize an item when you are not able to see it in person! SO, if the item you receive is not what you expected it to be, I will gladly refund you your payment if you postmark the item back to me within 14 days from date of USPS tracking delivery receipt., unused and in its original heat sealed packaging and box.

Special Note on Pierced Earrings:
All earrings are shipped in small heat sealed bags. For hygienic reasons, ONLY UNWORN earrings, returned in the original sealed bag, will be considered for exchange or return. Once the seal is broken, earrings are not eligible for return or exchange. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Buyer pays return shipping, if applicable.

I guarantee all my work against breakage, under conditions of normal wear and proper handling of items.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are available on a limited basis only. I can customize a design I already have listed with a different stone, or choice of metal.

Frequently asked questions

Can I Return or Exchange Pierced Earrings?

All earrings are shipped in small, heat sealed bags. They are eligible for return/exchange if the heat seal has NOT been broken. Since pierced earrings are not sterile after being worn, for hygienic reasons, they cannot be returned or exchanged if the bag's heat seal has been broken. Please take a close look at your earrings before opening the bag they were shipped in!

Customers attempting to return pierced earrings that have been worn will not be given a refund. No exceptions.

Can I Exchange My Item If It Was Not What I Expected?

Yes you can! For pierced earrings, keep the heat sealed package intact, and contact me through etsy convo for a pre-authorization for returns and/or exchange. Returns must be mailed back within 14 calendar days of original delivery date. Items must be returned in original packaging in unworn, unused, brand new condition. Return packages must be insured. Buyer pays for return shipping. Original shipping fees are not refundable.

What about priority shipping and/or signature confirmation?

Need EXTRA SECURITY for Your Package? Choose Signature Confirmation at Checkout. Add this to either standard shipping or Priority Mail shipping.

Every package I ship comes with tracking information and insurance for the value of the item, but does not include signature confirmation unless you add this on at checkout.

USPS Priority Mail orders are shipped in a small FLAT RATE BOX, and are estimated to take between 1-3 days for delivery (from time package is first received by the post office and scanned into their system). I personally feel that shipping in the small flat rate priority box is a fantastic choice, as the boxes move very quickly through the mail system, and the box makes for an extra protective environment for the item.(s)

How long does international delivery take?

International orders can take from 1 TO 6 WEEKS to arrive! I am committed to offering my etsy shop items to international customers! I love shopping internationally, and I love offering my items to international customers! Please order with confidence, because I insure all items that I ship internationally. If your package does not arrive within 40 days of it's original mailing date, it can be considered a "lost package", and an insurance claim filed. Also, please know that your own country may impose a "VAT", or value added tax, at it's own customs office. This is out of my control, and will be your responsibility to pay, if required.
