Welcome to Bark River Boutique, just a stone's throw from the Bark River near Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. I hope you'll find something here that you'll really like. Each handmade item is created with a sense of fun and attention to detail, a one-of-a-kind product that I hope you will thoroughly enjoy. Many of my items are made or partially made from previously-unused vintage fabrics and decorations.

I've always enjoyed sewing. My mom was a seamstress and I learned a lot from her. I started selling handsewn aprons of all sizes and kinds at local farmer's markets and craft fairs. The aprons sold well, so I also expanded my business by selling aprons in some local shops. Later, I opened my BarkRiverBoutique shop on Etsy. I've sold full aprons and half aprons, and made them for both children and adults. The full aprons are reversible, with adjustable neck loops so customers can shorten or lengthen them. One of the favorites is the terry cloth half aprons in different colors, using pretty fabrics for the waistband and waist ties, the bottom edge, and the lined pocket. They're very handy to dry your hands on when cooking and baking. You'll also see some vendor aprons with pockets. They can also be used for carrying garden or sewing supplies and tools; I sometimes wear my own vendor apron when going for walks or anywhere I don't want to carry my purse. The pockets can hold a phone, coin purse, note pad, and any other useful items.

Shipping:

I ship within 1 to 3 business days, and usually only to the United States. ( Often I'm able to ship the same day or in 2 days as well. I try to get your orders to you as promptly as possible.

I'll gladly combine items if you're purchasing multiple several items. If you purchase more than one item from my shop at the same time, and you pay more than actual shipping/handling at Etsy checkout, I'll always send you a shipping refund inside your package.

U.S. shipping for packages under 1 pound are usually sent by first class or ground advantage. If they weigh more, they are sent by Priority Mail. My Priority shipping cost is set for the continental United States and does not include Alaska and Hawaii. If you live in ALASKA or HAWAII, your actual shipping amount may be a little more, so please contact me before purchasing, and I can let you know what it is.

I usually ship by USPS and get delivery confirmation on each order in the U.S, so that you and I have a way of tracking what's been shipped. Once your package leaves my hands, though, it becomes the responsibility of the postal service to handle delivery. So any problems with delivery should be handled by your local post office.

Refunds :
I want you to be happy with your purchase. If an item was inadvertently misrepresented, please let me know about it so I have an opportunity to correct the situation.

NOTE: I don't give refunds on items that have the measurements in the listing (such as the aprons), though. Please take the time to read the measurements listed, to avoid getting the wrong size.)

Please let me know within three days if you are thinking about returning an item. It must be returned promptly in new (not used or damaged) condition within 10 days. Any refund will usually be made minus shipping charges and fees. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
