Our Story

Our Story

A number of years ago we realized our dogs had some dietary restrictions (no starch) and their treats were chicken fillets. There were lots of recalls on dog treats such as chicken fillets, especially from China. We already had a handle on what their food contained, but knew we had to be sure of what was in their treats as well. The only way we could guarantee that was to create our own.

So we bought some chicken and turkey breasts and beef sirloin from the local grocery store, sliced the raw meat into thin fillets and dehydrated them. Voila! Healthy treats with no preservatives or additives that the dogs LOVED.

Two of our dogs, Fizz and Stoney, compete in performance events such as agility, earthdog and coursing. We use the treats while training, as well as post competition rewards. We’ve shared our treats with other competitors, and their dogs have gone crazy for them. So, we decided to make the treats available to everyone.

If you don’t have a dog that competes, not to worry. Non-competitors love them too. Our girl, Willow, who is a couch potato and competition spectator highly recommends them.

Frequently asked questions
How should I store the treats?

Because there are no preservatives in the treats, all dog and cat treats should be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. They will last for months in the freezer and do not need to be defrosted before serving. We do not recommend that the treats be out of the freezer/fridge for more than a week.

Will the treats be too big for my small dog?

No. All treats can easily be broken into smaller sizes.

Can I give these treats to my puppy?

Absolutely! These make great training treats, especially if you break them into little pieces.

Can I let my dog use the tug toys as a chew toy?

These are not chew toys. Dogs should always be supervised when playing with the tug toys.

How do I clean the tug toys?

When they get dirty, you can throw them in the washer and can be air dried or in the dryer on low.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?

PLEASE make sure the address on file with ETSY is correct, as that is what I will ship to. If I am given the wrong address and your package is sent out, I will not resend free of charge. You will have to pay additional shipping charges to have the package resent to you after it is returned.

How long does it take to ship something?

I ship usually within 3-5 business days. However, most likely it will ship the same or next business day.

What if I didn’t get my package?

I ship all items with a tracking number. Please use that to locate your package, and contact the shipping carrier if you have any questions on the delivery.
