3 out of 5 starsThe actual item is not as glossy as it seems in the product picture. I did not realize from the picture that the bottom of the vase was not glazed. I though it was a brown glaze.

An International Connection
Barombi Mbo is a small village in Cameroon, West Africa and the inspiration for my studio! After spending two summers there in 2007 & 2008 helping the people of Barombi build a pipeline & filtration system for clean water, I was forever changed. A piece of my heart will always be in Barombi, and a piece of Barombi in my work.
My goal for Barombi Studios is not only to create beautiful, well-designed pottery, but also to utilize design for a greater good. A portion of all Barombi’s profits are given back to organizations that utilize good design in sustainable humanitarian efforts. Through my art, you and I are able to continue helping people in need.
Tank yu an welkom fo Barombi. Thank you for supporting Barombi!

Every piece is unique and handmade in small batches. Although I handle each piece with the utmost care, there may be minor imperfections or very slight variations from the photographs. Such variations reflect the unique character of each piece and are part of the natural charm and beauty of handmade ceramics.

Care instructions
Barombi Studios ceramics are food safe, dishwasher safe, and even oven proof. We throw ours in the dishwasher every day! Our pieces are extremely durable, however, all ceramics are prone to chipping and/or cracking under the stress of repeated use over a long period of time. Hand-washing can sometimes extend the life of ceramics, so some people prefer it. Please also microwave with caution, since ceramics can get very hot if microwaved for too long.
Custom and personalized orders
We love taking custom orders when we can! Requests for any of our currently listed items in a different size or color can usually be fulfilled. If you’re seeking an original design or glaze color not currently in our repertoire, we’ll certainly try our best to accommodate.
The production cycle from start to finish is generally about 3 to 4 weeks from the time the design is finalized and the order is placed. Once a custom design is finalized, we can send a cost estimate. Depending how involved the design process is, there may also be an added design fee.
We love collaborating with other artists and/or businesses. To get started, just send us a message describing what you’re looking for. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
