Please allow a chef turned soapmaker to fulfill all of your bath and body needs with luxurious, professionally crafted recipes!

My name is Tori. I am a chef, painter, musician, and bath and body specialist.

As a professional in the restaurant industry, I washed my hands more times in a day than most people do in a week. Hooray for clean hands!!!! Boo on harsh detergents which strip you skin of its moisture, causing it to crack and become super painful. At the time, I just dealt with it because I was unaware that the things that are sold to is as "soap" aren't soap at all. They are chemical detergents. I began looking for an alternative and that is when I came across artisan soap. First of all, it is actual soap. An oil or fat that has gone through a chemical reaction called saponification. It cleans the skin without causing irritation and even for a power user like myself, does not dry my skin to the point of cracking. I will never use commercial "soap" again.

I became interested in making soap because of its similarity to cooking. I formulate recipes for soap the same way I do for food, and cost it out the same way. I have a line of "Chef Soap" for others in the industry, like myself, who have found that they do not want to have permanent "dish pan hands." Also, garlic and kitchen smells permeate the skin and I have formulated a bar "Grill Brick" that removes that smell instead of covering it up, and is STILL gentle enough to use on your face. I love it.

I paint furniture, cook, have 2 children, and when I am not at work, I'm at home science-ing soapalicious treats for those who do not want parabens and detergents in their skin care regimen.

Care instructions

Artisan soap needs to be allowed to dry between uses. The best way to do this is by placing your soap on a soap dish. If you lay it on the side of the tub or sink, it will stick to the surface as it dries and it will be difficult to remove. If you do not have a soap dish, you can use freezer paper or a cloth.
