Welcome to BazaarQuits!
Feel free to browse, email me questions, leave me comments - I enjoy hearing from folks about the items I am listing.
BazaarQuilts has come into being, really, as an expression of my love for creating. Unlike any other creative activity, quilt making struck a chord in me from the moment I put the last stitch into the binding of my first quilt. The rewards of quilt making are many; for starters, I am amazed (only each and every time!) how fabric and thread come together, sometime in unexpected ways, to make combinations that are unique and vibrant.
Further, quilts bring great joy to their beholders and recipients – they almost always trigger a fond memory of joyful times. Quilts have made great gifts for many occasions. Quilts are often a symbol of family - some of them become heirlooms, passed down across the generations. And finally, quilts have been used to raise both awareness and funds for good causes – you see them as raffle items at church fairs and animal shelters, or collected by veteran assistance organizations, many quilts are made with the wellbeing of others in mind.
And so, I am grateful for the opportunity to share with others the gift of creativity in one of its most useful and humbe expressions: the quilt.
