Uncommon Creations in Enamels, Metals, Buttons and Gems

I joined ETSY in 2012, but opened this shop in November 2016....
I've been a self employed artist for decades, and I still find immense satisfaction in creating new pieces....whether from precious materials or found objects....with an eye for the odd and always excellent craftsmanship....no matter what materials are used.
My focus is on very limited editions and one-of-a-kind pieces....from labor intensive cloisonne enamels to quirky works in mixed metals and vintage buttons. I enjoy the autonomy of having an on-line shop for presenting any odd piece I conjure up without having to please a gallery esthetic.
So come in and browse....you may find a special treasure waiting just for you!

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Open to all possibilities....deposit required on a commissioned custom order. For simple personalization, check individual listings.

Sizing details

If an item is a specific size/length, the description will provide details. If a different size/length is requested, I will be able to tell you if sizing is possible with that item, or if a similar item in the requested size/length can be made available.

Care instructions

The enameled pieces that I make are vitreous...which means they are made from glass fused to metal under extreme heat. Avoid hard impact and abrasion, and extreme temperature fluctuations (don't wear in saunas or hot tubs). Clean with glass cleaner and a soft cloth or gentle soap and a soft brush.
Metals can be polished with a soft cloth. I don't recommend using cream polishes or ultrasonic machines.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Each item will be packaged in an appropriate box, decorative bag, display card or combination of all 3, with a gift card upon request. I may also include a colorful rack card, postcard and/or business card. Depending on your shipping choices, I sometimes use recycled boxes or padded envelopes for exterior shipping packaging.

Combined shipping

I am happy to combine shipping whenever possible.

Internet Delays

Our service is at the end of the line. I will post a notice when I'm unavailable, but sometimes the server just doesn't co-operate even when I am available. I appreciate your understanding if I don't respond to your queries as quickly as expected.
Thank you

International Buyers

International shipping does not include insurance. Buyer is responsible for all additional taxes and customs fees. Most pieces are available to USA & Canada customers only....although if a request is made from another location, I will do my best to satisfy it.

Gallery Sales

If a listing is described as currently in a gallery, please contact me before purchasing so I can make sure it is still available. If it is, I can either arrange a direct shipment from the gallery to you, or pick it up and send it to you once the purchase is finalized.

Returns

If there is an issue with your purchase please contact me about your concerns....we may be able to work things out. If you feel the need to return an item, understand that the original packaging, postage and insurance is expected with the return.
