Thanks for stopping by my shop on ETSY. I love getting my hands muddy, and take much pride in my work. Each piece that I sell is like a child I have raised, nurtered and loved and then send them off into the world. They truly are a labor of love. I thouroughly enjoy every step of the process from opening a fresh bag of clay to the excitement of opening up the kiln as if I am a child waiting to open my Christmas gifts!

I think as long as I have been breathing, I have been creating. I have worked in just about every medium there is, and always come back to clay. My love of clay began about 25 years ago in High school, and the love was reborn while we were living in the Caribbean about 10 years ago.

As a military family, we have lived in some amazing places all over the world just steps from the ocean. I am a certified scuba diver and feel most at piece among the ocean creatures. Each life experience, new address and logged dive gives me a source of great inspiration in my studio and in my life, and this inspiration is seen in much of my work.

I am currently a 40 - something college student majoring in art - with a concentration in ceramics. I have thouroughly enjoyed my time in school, and I am always trying to learn new techniques with my work. In between studio classes and homework, I create in my home studio.

All of my pieces are touched many times before they make their way out into the world. After I create the piece, it is bisque fired in my home kiln. It is then glazed, and fired to cone 5. Then finishing touches and embellishments are added before being adopted out into the world. Each one of my pieces is a labor of love. I hope you feel this love and passion that goes into each one of my pieces.
