BeadAndRebead began with my love of knitting and crocheting—skills I first learned from my grandmother—and a passion for creating handmade knit and crochet hats. I’ve also had the joy of teaching crochet to special needs students, sharing the same comfort and creativity that crafting has brought to my life.

Over the years, I’ve donated hundreds of hats to deployed military members, disadvantaged children, and special needs students, as well as chemo caps and soft cancer headwear to patients undergoing treatment.

I have also donated over 100 full-size blankets to children in foster care, believing that every child deserves a cozy, familiar, and comforting item during a time of change. These blankets are made to provide warmth, security, and a sense of home for children who need it most.

As a parent of a special needs child, I needed a way to earn income from home. This shop became that path, allowing me to create cozy, meaningful handmade items with purpose.

My work is deeply personal. With family members who have undergone chemotherapy and the loss of former classmates to cancer, I am inspired to create soft, comforting hats for patients who need them most, as well as warm, beautiful hats for children and adults to enjoy during winter.

Now, as my husband and I enter retirement, I continue to handcraft each item with care. I offer chemo hats, knit beanies, crochet hats, and thoughtful handmade gifts, many made in small batches. Custom orders are always welcome.
